I have never found Jack very palatable. I'm more attracted to cerebral types, so his aura just doesn't appeal to me. And I agree that they are making it seem so PERFECT, when we all suffered through that horrible Season #2 with all the alcoholism.

I still love the show. But, I'd love it more if the Jack character was someone else.

Rebecca put up with way more than I ever would.


When she announced that she loved him, I felt bad for her parents. All the dude does is smirking and throwing tantrums. He rarely talks, he is often irate, he’s rude to her parents. What a catch.

R&J is almost a 50 year old love story, so I don't think this criticism is exactly fair. What I find unbalanced is that Season 1 and half of 2 was so perfect that even his struggles in Season 2 and 3, including scary alcoholism, keeping his brother a secret bomb didn't do enough to dislodge the initial impression.

I don't dislike Jack, but I am sick of that story and how "perfect" it is.

People still use TiVo?


I think TiVo seems more useful now when people cut the cord. They can get their streaming on demand content from Netflix, Prime, etc., and then use TiVo for the broadcast networks. Funny how an older innovation can find new life. Doesn't happen very often.


But do they actually use TiVo for that? I used my DVR through Sling.


Different poster--I do. In fact I just replaced mine when the (ancient) one I had died. Tivo ha the best interface/usability of any DVR I've ever used, I love it. I record a bunch of broadcast network stuff and a ton of kids TV from PBS (over the air antenna, not paying for any kind of TV service).

I think the intruder is real. He was coming home late and tired and may have just not carefully locked the front door when he came in. It would also play into the whole storyline about moving to Philly and that entails.
