Subject: Do your kids bathe every day?
The problem is when this no showers every day habit continues into adulthood. I have worked with several people who were smart, funny and quite obviously did not bathe daily. They would smell like old sweat and sour milk.
One young man was spoken to by our boss. He would roll in unshaven, with wrinkled shirts and bed head. I think our boss did him a favor.

I don’t think being juicy has anything to do with needing to shower daily when you’re on your period. It’s more about getting any dried blood off your privates that can dry and stink. Most people don’t sleep with a tampon in overnight. That morning blood all over the privates needs to be washed off.
What? I wear a tampon every night of my period.
It’s not recommended you leave tampoms in ovenright or even up to 8 hrs. Pads are recommended for overnight. So, for those who use pads, don’t you agree a shower is needed?

OP of the s/o thread. Thank you!!! I'd missed this. Wow...such human variety and ewwww I had no idea I was interacting with so many barely "clean-ish" people with water and soap resources on the daily. Lol.

Well every other day is ok with me but my youngest takes a bath at night and showers in the morning of her own doing (mostly to get her hair looking right - it’s curly and she brushes it with conditioner ) so I never have to think about her. Oldest I do have to remind which is weird bc she’s really into her looks/clothes you’d think she would want to wash her greasy head lol

Nope. Because I’m an imperfect parent with time management issues. She’s not filthy, happy, and pre menarche if that helps! We always rinse up with a washcloth but this one prefers hours long baths like her mom, a nightly bath would wreck bedtime unless we fed her dinner in there.

I don't think that my kids *need* to bathe every day, but we do it anyway, because it's part of their nighttime routine.

My kids need to remove chlorine, bug spray, sunscreen, or sweat every day in the summer. Its also a part of the nighttime routine. I won't get my panties in a bunch if they don't shower once a month, but I will wash their sheets the next day. We do not wash hair with shampoo every night.

Back to the original topic, my kids are all old enough that they get B.O and definitely need a shower every day.
But we bathed them everyday when they were little. My older child got bathed because he was my first and I was neurotic. My younger child was a bundle of energy and needed the bath to calm down. Plus it let me sit down for a minute.
