If they think it's so important they should tell the public instead of pretending it was a standard policy review.

Just as I thought.

There is an enormous amount of focus on academics and addressing the achievement gap, which includes meeting the needs of students where they are, in every sense of the phrase. It’s disappointing, but not surprising, that most of the Republicans seeking election this fall would claim that recent efforts by the School Board to avoid further concentrating poverty at certain schools are intended to hide problems or that they are not being considered with the goal of improving academic achievement in mind.
But I guess they want to make some people feel better about being segregationists at heart.
Good to know. Could you share the work sessions where specific details are discussed? I've watched quite a few of them, as well as the School Board meetings. I've heard little about this at all--other than this is a problem. I've heard no real solutions. I'd like to know the motions that indicate they are addressing it.

DCUM, do your own research. LWV has candidate panels. There are also posted questionnaires and responses. Please don’t fall for the same conspiracy/fear-mongering that is propelling our national politics. Voters have a responsibility to educate themselves.
No. I think that is your hobby.

Same here. Done.
Will be our pleasure to cancel your vote, knowing very well that no lifelong Democrat would vote for the regressive, elitist ticket endorsed by the “Langley First” crowd.
