It’s known. Action from ECNL is coming.
Players are free to go where they want to go. Other than a couple of showcases there is no ECNL season due to HS so nothing will be done. The kids will showcase with BRYC and leave at the end of the season. There is really nothing the league can do about it.
As a BRYC parent you might just look into other options yourself versus trying to lawyer the kids to stay. If Mickey didn’t want you to come along well sorry about that.
Damn. Is that the kind of youth soccer landscape you want? Coaches out there seducing kids to change clubs, building a network of insiders and favorites?
This is pretty much the MO for any successful club. How do you think the BRYC team was developed?
McLean and FCV are taking players from every club every year. FCV have added BRYC players since Mickey left
True, but they are not recruited by the coaching staffs. Their reputations, the clubs reputation, and the parent networks are what brings them in.
In the case of FCV, the DA clubs in the area have an agreement not to poach each other's teams. You don't see alot of movement of DA players from club to club like this.
In the case of McLean, you don't see alot of new players from area ECNL teams coming in, they typically come from lower level leagues/clubs.

That's what BRYC has been for years, so what did anyone really expect?

Did you have an issue when Mikey recruited your entire team at BRYC. Or, is it just now?
