Do you people even know how student loans work? No bank would ever make a student loan if they weren’t guaranteed by the federal govt. About 10 years ago the feds reamized that rather than let banks collect interest from students who repaid and collect guarantees for students who didn’t it would be cheaper to have the feds lend directly to students.
