I think it's that but not just that. I think a lot of them are going down, when this is all said and done. This stuff with the Russians and the NRA - it seems hard to imagine that there weren't many Republicans involved.

Trump is now walking back what he said at the press conference, when he was standing next to Putin. He forgot to use the word "not," he's claiming.

The point is Trump has been under partisan investigation by Obama’s intelligence people for two years. Of course he didn’t trust Comey, Brennon, McCabe, Strozk. CNN kept equating those bad actors with current intelligence leadership such as Coats and Pompeo. Senator Paul never fell for CNN’s trap.

Sounds like you're paying as much attention to Coats as Trump is.

His choice of words are poor. Trump is an old man without much oratory skills. But do you honestly believe his fury was towards Coats? His gripe is towards the intelligence people who are investigating him.

I give you that there are the usual neverTrumpers on that list, but there are plenty of TrumpHumpers as well.

They all made boiler-plate statements about Russia is not our friend and they meddled 2016 elections. (BTW none of them said a word in 2008 or 2012 about Russia meddling which they also did) But how many of them went further and specifically criticized Trump in their statements? Only the two camps that Senator Paul laid out did:

Anti Trumpers: Ben Sasse, Jeff Flake, McCain
Neo cons: McCain, Graham

They didn't derail his campaign in 2016, and they will not do anything now simply for some words said in a press conference.
