Lots of consulting in the government space and defense contractors in this area

Non-pm jobs non technical top out around 100k

technical roles 50-150k

PM jobs can be anywhere from 100-200k

Most people never make it higher than that.

middle mangers/program managers 150-300k

and then upper management/VP/principal/Partner 250-500k

Clearances can add up to 50k to all these categories

I’m 29 and make 250k, excluding bonus (50-100% of base). I’m in banking, though, so my hours are terrible and I have plenty of debt to pay off from business school, which I’m trying to do within the next year or so. I’m also single and probably will continue to be if I stay here for more than a few years, but that’s another story.

There are always those posters who will assume people on an anonymous forum are lying about their salaries, or that people with high incomes or a decent amount of assets are all unhappy or bad people.
