Yes.

Freys rise against House Bolton and that helps Jon Snow retake Winterfell. Theon enlists his sister's help to support Jon Snow against the Lannisters. High Garden throws in with Jon Snow because of Loras and Margarey. Dorne throws in with Jon Snow because of Oberyn.

Tyrion and Dani return to Westeros with the dragons and attack the Lannisters from the other side. Tyrion, Dani and Jon form an alliance to take out the White Walkers, with each of them riding one dragon.

Saw a fun theory on buzzfeed this morning...that Wylis was a warg and was in Lyanna's horse, Hodor, when the horse was killed, leading to his mental problems.


Neat theory! I am really liking the theory that it is Bran trying to warg into Hodor while he is observing some past event, that causes his a condition. As it would seem based on the last episode, his brain is functioning, it just cannot communicate to the outside world.

I think he said that he had giant's blood, not dragon. Hodor is huge and from the north, so that makes sense. Oh, and the older lady walking Hodor away from young Ned and Benjen is Nan, the very old lady who tells of the coming of the long night.

well, there were parts in the book that was hinted at a lot more heavily. But the fact that he didn't wake until Ghost did made it seem obvious to me, also there was some discussion on another site about how Ghost was the runt of the litter and never howled, was mainly silent- until Jon's death. I've read the books, but to me the scene in the show didn't allude to him being a warg, just that Ghost is very attuned to him. The books make it seem like the Stark children are all wargs on a sliding scale, from Sansa at one end (who also appears to be the most Tully of the children) to Bran, who can warg into people. I don't recall the books ever mentioning that anyone other than Bran can intentionally warg. Jon and Arya both have dreams, but don't really understand what is happening. I guess he could have warged into Ghost without realizing the way Bran got kicked out of Summer when Summer was hit with the arrow? Other than warging in dreams, though, do we have evidence that you warg into an animal you can't see?


I have read that many book readers did not like Davos asking Melisandre to resurrect Jon because they felt he had not reason to seek out her help. I agree that it did not seem consistent with his character, but I assume he was asking partly for himself (wanting something good after so much death) and partly for Eddard and Tormund following an offscreen conversation. I am curious to know what the book readers here thought. Did you have an issue with it?

AS much as I like the Tyrion is a Targ theory, I think it feels more meaningful to have him as Tywin's child. It's a bigger struggle for Tywin that he fathered someone so imperfect and yet perfect.

I hadn't considered the Cersei and Jaime could be Aerys' since they seem so perfectly to define what it means to be a Lannister. Then again there's the whole incest thing they have going.

They have to fill in the series somewhere, which is tough since Martin didn't finish the base material on time. So expect Greyjoy drama and Jamie in the Riverlands resolving Riverrun.

When I saw Ramsey and Roose, at first I thought Roose had killed Ramsey. Sad, because Roose is the more interesting character -- the conniving backstabber vs the psychopath.

And did the Karstark return foretell more time in the North, with the return of Rickon (and Shaggydog) or is it setting up a huge battle of the North (including the Karstarks) vs the Whitewalkers, which seems to be in the "coming attractions"?



That's what I thought, too! And then when I realized it was the other way around, I hid my eyes through the entire Ramsay/Walda scene, since I knew what was coming and I'm 38 weeks pregnant (with a boy, no less). I can't wait to see Ramsay get it.

Ian McShane is a definitely a priest in the Riverlands. Book readers who recall the Quiet Isle scene in book 4 will know the potential significance therein.

Manderley is likely in this season. They name dropped that house in Episode 2 and there was a casting call for a character sounding much like him.

Thoros, Blackfish and Edmure all are in this season as well. And the Freys. Along with a band of bandits. Ergo all the pieces are there to include you-know-who, but I refuse to believe it, been disappointed too many times!

I'm with you. Wouldn't mind at all if they just skipped Iron Islands anything. Definitely want more Arya and more Tyrion.



The on is headed back there right? That's the only reason I care, tho I liked his sister too. The kings moot storyline and the uncles are incredibly boring. I can't see theon successfully taking over the iron islands tho.

I hated the kingsmoot in the book too. But Ian McShane is supposed to be playing one of the iron born, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing him.

Maybe he will be Euron. I wouldn't mind if they skipped Victarion and rolled him into Euron's character. Or maybe Marwyn the Mage! Who else is headed to Dany in the books that we haven't seen on the show yet- Young Griff, Quentyn Martell, anyone else? I hope they do pick up some of these characters, including Stoneheart! And that they show Wyman Manderly tricking the Freys- after Bran told the Rat Cook story I was sure they would include that tidbit!!


I believe we met Euron on Sunday, he said he WAS the drowned god and then THE storm- but in the behind the scenes afterwards D & D say it is Euron. I do not think the show will introduce Victorian, and with Dorne's plot now no way Quentyn Martell will exist in show canon. Book fans have been dying to LHS for many seasons now, it could happen, but it might not, I have learned to not get my hopes up. I think the Manderly/Frey situation is definitely hinted at in the previews!!
