OP here: ehh..i wouldn't say I have an "active" social life. What sucked for me was that I was a nanny for 8+ years which doesn't allow you to meet many adult friends and now that I work from home, I don't have work friends like most people.

Go on meetup.com - you can find people that share your interests.

+1. I met my now husband on e harmony at age 25. It really did weed out the weirdos.
