Sad for MV that after next year’s class, talent drops way off. Other programs will continue to be consistently good (McD) or get better (NDP, GCS, SPSG) but MV not so much. AS has peaked IMO. GC needs a few years to get back to where they were talent wise

I’m guessing you did not follow the MV JV season. They blew out most teams except for the tie against Spaulding. MV played most of the 2nd half down because of too many yellow cards and was still winning with a minute left.

NDP brings back a lot.

I’d make a prediction

MV
MCD
SPSG
NDP

Are your top 4 for 2027, granted it’s also the final four for 2026.

The good programs will fill the gaps created by the losses. The ones who bet it all on one year will fall off. McDonogh was supposed to struggle in 2023 because of an historically strong 2022 class graduating. They ended up wining the title and went undefeated in the conference. Sometimes the talent is on the bench waiting their turn.

Agree with this, even on a team like SPSG that struggled I can think of quite a few strong players who rarely touched the field. I also think NDP may experience some addition by subtraction next year.

SPSG losing their goalie, which as of now is huge hole for next year. They also lost perhaps top offensive player with ACL which knocks her out for 2027 season.

Spalding has some role players on 2027 who are good players but not stars while they likely are breaking in a 2029 goalie on top of it.

The 2029s there will need to take big leap as the 28 class has only 1 contributing.

MVP may lose some of the 28-30 players because BR is leaving and they got to see first hand as good players rarely play because of a bloated roster.

Just like the Episcopal superteam of last year, MVP will come back down to earth with the loss of their seniors, but they will still be a top team in the league. That is, if new coach can build on what BR started instead of tearing it down. 28 and 29 classes are strong and I haven't heard of many impact players looking to leave.

McD getting GCS draw girl is huge for them. She is really impressive on the draw, which is an area where they've struggled. She's also a great field player (which is why it's going to REALLY hurt GCS). But McD loses most of their strong defense to graduation, most notably an incredibly impactful goalie.

What happens with SPSG? They graduate two top defenders, but everyone else stays in tact. Do they come back stronger and wiser next year?

As was mentioned above, not sure where ABS goes from here. They took a nosedive at the end of the season and they graduate quite a few players, which of their other classes have strengths?

STM losing a star player, two if you count already hurt BC commit, their goalie, and a few other pieces.

Not sure they win all those 1-2 goal games again

Yup, and conference standings will look very similar to this year. Maybe flip SPSG and StM.

GCS draw girl is leaving for McD for her senior year so they are going to take a big drop next year.

What MV class are you referring to? MV is loaded. Their 28 is the best 28 in country and she’s surrounded by other talented 28s. Heck the 29 was a factor on draws this year alone.

Too much talent for SPSG to handle.
