Scientists are getting closer in identifying the genetic defects that can cause Autism, Schizophrenia, and / or Bipolar. Why isn’t this this being discussed more and making this research a priority?
They can look all they want, but they won't get any closer because its pretty clear that Autism is an environmental disease rather than a genetic one. All these scientists are doing is running interference for the real culprit. Basically its like sending OJ to find the real killer.
PP-say more about this. What environmental factors are the cause?
The cause is debated still, but the evidence fits vaccination more closely than any other single cause.
Exhibit A is that nothing like autism is documented anywhere until 1911, and it doesn't exist in numbers sufficient to study until the 1940s.
Exhibit B is rising prevalence over time since first discovery, being 1 in 30 or so in the USA today.
Exhibit C is the relative lack of autism in less "modern" populations and countries
Were it a genetic cause, it should be more geographically, temporally and culturally stable in its presentation.
Nah, I think it is caused by eating organic. Very tight correlation.

If it’s genetic defects, then we can’t blame moms for doing it to their kids. If we can’t blame moms, then we can’t call ourselves “good Christian people” when we refuse to fund healthcare for those kids who came out exactly as God made them.
“Personal responsibility” is how they destroy public health and wash their hands of sick kids.
