It's like the NEU nutjobs all over again. Coincidence it's the same part of the country? What's next, UMass Amherst is the best college in Amherst?

For Linguistics? Absolutely. Just like Holy Cross is the best college in Massachusetts for Classics.

UMASS alumna couldn’t get into Holy Cross in the 90s. DD applying to HC as full pay kid with lots of clubs. Hope for best.

Funniest booster thread on here. Funnier than that Bucknell booster toward the beginning of the year. Funnier than the Northeastern booster. Funnier than the Wake booster. Just great stuff. And such stamina!

Georgetown is going nowhere with bad sports and relatively small endowment. Tufts used to be better. Watch out for Vandy. Their alums are unbearable now.

Anyone can do an inequality with 3 terms. It doesn't mean they're that closely comparable. Like for your 3, if we were to convert it to paper money, it'd be something like $20>$10>$1

Duke 2:1 over ND? This tread....

USNWR: Duke #7, ND T#20
THE (national): Duke #17, ND #54
THE (intl): Duke #28, ND #194
Niche: Duke #18, ND #29
Forbes: Duke #22, ND #33
WSJ: Duke #68, ND #20

That WSJ ranking must be the best indicator of academic ranking. After all it has HC #58, UNC #77, UCLA #80, JHU #92

ND, Holy Cross and Duke are normal kids would add Dartmouth, Colby and Colgate. Not many protests on those campuses. Appealing to our family.

👏👏👏 The Georgetown hater was able to force an irrelevant comment on an unrelated thread. Took longer than usual though.

Notre Dame may be cultish in the sense that it's apparently of great appeal to some while lacking allure for others. I might place Duke, Georgetown and Tufts in the same category, without intending to knock any of these schools.
