This site is paywalled, but the article is so great I thought it was worth linking. It combines humor, deep thoughts about current American politics, and a UFC fan’s description of last night’s events, a weird mix that totally worked for me as a reader:

DP. Depends on the cancer. Some forms of cancer have higher survival rates in Canada, especially among those of lower socioeconomic status.

I turned the spectacle on at about 9PM thinking that it had already started and I later found out there was a delay due to weather....
That being said, the whole thing was ridiculous to have at the White House. To comment on the production value only, it appeared to be pretty well run, but the fighters walking out of the White House was completely over the top just like the whole event.
In total, I think I had it on for about 10 minutes and then went back to switching between the Stanley Cup and World Cup.
The motorcycle jumps in front of a banner of the White House were worse than this IMO.

The band and the jets -- their attendance is not voluntary. That's what was referred to before.
The military personnel attending to watch -- they were not included if they didn't meet some Hegseth imposed weight and other requirements. Google it. It was news.
