They'll get steamrolled just like the House. Debt limit is tick-tocking away.
Maybe they'll grow a pair (or get scared by the bond markets) and strip it down to brass tacks. The defense and border security they want, with some payfors, and the debt limit increased. That's what Senate originally wanted but House wasted months of time with this crap and Dear Leader wanted One Big Beautiful Bill.
But they'll probably get rolled in the end too. We'll see who's scarier. Dear Leader or bond markets?
Yep.
Republicans are the ones who should be scared. A bunch of them are going to lose big in the midterms.
You think there will be fair midterm elections?
Remember, Trump won, so there will be no further elections. I heard it again and again right here.
Well, Trump himself said it. Which...isn't good.
He loves f'n with you. And you eat it up. LOLOL

It's definitely the right time to cut Medicaid!
(I think the markets were falling way before this vote. The markets are just one more nail.)

No they moved those up to 2026. Remember poor people do not vote and have zero influence in Congress. The senate will cut a lot more!
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I think we need to have a protest just on this bill alone. I understand no democrat voted for this, but how will we get the message across on what is in this gigantic bill to ordinary Americans? Like.. we need another Cory Booker filibuster just on this bill and what the GOP voted for....
There was a protest at the Capitol just yesterday. I’m sure that there will be more soon.
This bill is 1000 Plus pages, and was still being written yesterday — meaning that no one has actually read it fully and thoroughly, although I hope their staffs have. There’s stuff in there for almost everyone to hate. The key is making sure that the public knows —and understands — what’s in the bill.
