If so, kind of funny!
Yes, he threw it to his wife. đ
Oh thatâs not his wife thatâs his girlfriend. You know whose wife she was though? Harvey Weinstein.
Yikes. Another strike against Adrian Brody.
She left him in 2017 when all of the accusations started. The divorce wasnât finalized until 2021, but she didnât stand by him and isnât responsible for his crimes.
Do you really believe that she had absolutely no idea what her husband was up to?

She was such a darling back then. I thought she looked greatâloved the dress on her.
I said the same about Renee Zellweger in another thread. I don't know how they reverse the procedures that made them look different, but I like to see them look like themselves but older, as it should be.
Anonymous wrote:I find it somewhat ironic that people mostly agree that the reason Timothée Chalamet didn't get Best Actor is that the Academy thinks he's too young and will have many more chances, but that Mikey Madison won for Anora despite being up against several very established actresses who turned in highlight reel performances (Demi Moore, Fernanda Torres).
Men: don't worry, we know you'll have long careers and lots of meaty roles well into your 40s, 50s, even 60s, so no need to give you an Oscar in your youth.
Women: get it while it's hot!
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Was watching Bill Mayer last night and he did a story on how large number of Best actress awards went to women who played hookers or sex workers. Think it was over 20 or more. Lovely. Anyone could have played that part in Anora it was nothing special.
That's really interesting. I'm sure it's in part due to misogyny and that sex is titillating. But it's also because it sort of goes to the core of the female struggle over thousands of years and so it provides a lot of meat for female actresses dealing with the female condition. At some level, we're all dealing with the comidification of our bodies and trying to find a way to assert ownership of our sexuality and selves.
NP and I think you are giving the academy more credit than they deserve. They love to glamorize sex work and do âresearchâ and thank the sex worker community. They donât give two sh**s. Sex and nudity sells and they exploit women in movies all the time.
+ 1 billion!!!
And the cycle just repeats as movie houses back movies they know âwill sellâ sex/nudity. I disagree that stories about sex workers are about THE human condition or even the female condition. They are stories about a subset of people. If they are the only stories honored, is overall disservice to women and reinforces to be in entertainment as a female, greatest odds your roles will be a stripper, sex worker, rape victim or cadaver who was a stripper, sex worker or rape victim.
DaâVine Joy Randolph won best supporting for The Holdovers last year for her beautiful portrayal of an ordinary woman. I loved that movie so much and it did not rely on any sex or outrageous anything.
I LOVED The Holdovers so much and she was wonderful in it.

Oof. It makes her waist look larger and draws attention to her old looking arms. Hard pass.
I knew I didn't like this, but it took me a while to figure out why.
Her boobs are RIDICULOUS. I'd want her in something that de-emphasizes them. And yes, cover or give her the option to cover her arms.
Her hair is too long -- not so much because of her age, but because it's getting straggly. Cut a few inches off. Dress in a color.
She looked much nicer at the Golden Globes.
I am 60. Agree with much of what you said. But disagree on the arms. That is why older women look so matronly at these events -- they are worried about their arms and cover them. Her arms a great and I think she looks good. Not like she is 20 but good. If you think she needs to cover her arms, got help us and help you when you turn 60! We need to set different standards.
Agree with you. There is nothing wrong with her arms. I am more worried about her face. She is starting to not look like herself. I hate it when they do the things that start to make them look alien. It's so off-putting. I do not like that people are starting to find those faces to be "normal" on older women and praise them. Let people age naturally FFS.
It's her veneers - they are too big for her mouth/face.

I thought his call to save movie theatres seemed out of touch. When I go to theatres, they are often empty. He's going to have to persuade people to visit them.
With $13+ tickets per person, I'm not sure going to a movie theatre is worth it when I can watch the movie at home with others for $6.
Plus, one has to worry about guns and crazy people in the theatre. Fact of life.
Yeah as he was going on about how much better it was to go to a theater I was thinking, no, it really, really isnât. It sounded like begging at that point. It sucks for theaters, but make it a better experience and people will reconsider. But right now, it loses big time compared to my big screen TV, my own food that is free and a bathroom break anytime I want without having to miss anything.

She's beautiful, but her fight against aging is sad and ironic considering the topic of the movie for which she was nominated. In interviews she talks about accepting yourself yet she doesn't seem to be accepting her reality. It's one thing to be as healthy as you can but another to make yourself look unnatural.
On another note, I think it's time for a new haircut/style.

He was always gross and there was zero reason for any woman to ever be with him other than to advance her career and be really rich. Even when he was at the top of his game, no one was saying "Oh, he's so hot" or "He's such a nice guy with a wonderful sense of humor." He was a power broker who looked like Jabba the Hut on his best day. And his reputation as a lech was well known (even if people didn't know the non-consensual part of it). She's not responsible for her crimes, but it's all still gross.
Sorry, you're saying that it's suspicious whenever someone marries a fat person? Or is the crime that he was both fat and successful - that's what someone's not allowed to decide they want in their life?
Obviously Weinstein is a horrible person who did unforgivable things. But you're saying before his ex-wife knew about those things she already should have rejected him?
Itâs not that he was fat. It was that he had no redeeming qualities other than being a power broker. He was a disgusting person inside and out. I think we can all imagine getting blinded by the looks of a gorgeous charming man who is a creep (armie hammer) or also falling for a guy who isnât great looking but has a really great personality (Danny devito, Patton Oswald, John Goodman). But Weinstein? I just canât have any respect for any woman that married him.
Oh yes, it's completely unbelievable and unprecedented that a beautiful woman would be seduced by power and money. Simply unheard of.
Did you marry a slug for money? Is that why you are defending her so much? Or are you her publicist? Of course itâs not unheard of for a woman to marry a super gross guy for his power and money. But by doing so, she becomes gross too. Maybe not as gross. But also gross.
No, I married a fat guy for love. And I continue to love him. I think your comments are repulsive.
The fact that you canât see the difference between your situation and Harvey Weinsteinâs marriage is somewhat concerning. But whatever.

Well, itâs why Demi was a genius pick for that film. I feel bad for her, reallyâshe clearly has been through a lot and never had good self esteem. I think sheâs finally getting to a place where she can be comfortable with herself but itâs clearly a work in progress. I wish she still had Bruce as a support, and I hope her daughters are kind with her.
And I agree she needs a hair cut. She looked phenomenal years ago with a blunt cut shoulder length or slightly shorter cut.

I commented that this year seemed to be missing some star power or charisma. Someone like Nicole, Denzel, Viola Davis, Matt Damon, somebody!
Or Cate Blanchet, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt⊠At least they had stunning Halle Berry presenting.
Everyone in Hollywood looks the same nowadaysâŠfake: faces, boobs, teeth, everything. Not many naturally gorgeous or even just natural faces in Hollywood. I miss old Hollywood class and glamour.
My kid said Conan O'Brien reminds her of Elon Musk and at first I was like "no they look nothing alike" and then I realized that due to the work they've both had done, they kind of do. Those super smooth foreheads. It makes them all look like pod people.
Yes- its Conan, Elon, Barry Keoghan and Cillian Murphy. They all have this weird look to them.
Yes to Conan, Elon, and Barry Keoghan (who, for me) has the weirdest look of them all), but no to Cillian Murphy. Heâs gorgeous. And heâs aging well, but naturally. Heâs just a very striking looking man, which is probably why heâs the current male face of Versace. But that striking look is never going to be to everyoneâs taste, and thatâs okay.
Am I the only Peaky Blinders fan who enjoyed seeing Cillian and Adrien Brody on stage together? Tommy Shelby and Luca Changretta. And Annabelle Wallis (who played Grace Shelby) was also there last night - sheâs Sebastian Stanâs girlfriend. Lots of Peaky Blinders connections!

Eeek just nooo. Thatâs like saying a white Chevrolet SSR (Conan) looks the same as a white Tesla cyber truck (Musk) because they both have smooth front hoods.
Conan is impish, and quirky in a fun, self-depreciating and warm way.
The shadow president is a grumpy troll, and quirky in a callous, tone deaf, and arrogant way.
Apart from their vibes being so different, they donât look alike at all.
Teenagers often seem to think everyone over the age of 50 with similar skin tones look the same.
