I obviously have no idea so help me out here!
Seek therapy OP. You clearly need it.
Not OP. Stop saying she needs therapy. Stop the gaslighting. Stop the “oh you guys are so hysterical.” Get off your right wing bubble. People are alarmed for many reasons. Go read a non RW source. Go read some international newspapers. Listen to the historians and scientists.

If you weren't scared off from having children a few months ago, what with constant war in the Middle East, ever greater wealth inequality, climate change, pandemics, environmental disasters, Russia, Iran, North Korea, etcetera, the last two weeks really shouldn't be making this much of a difference. Obviously a part of you doesn't want to have children, even if you can't acknowledge it. I say this kindly, as someone who spent a decade, and close to a million dollars, trying to conceive, ultimately unsuccessfully. It is very hard for women to admit to themselves, and to others, that they don't want children, or even that they're ambivalent about it. Many women, like me, were/are able to lie to themselves, and to others, by pointing to how hard they tried. You don't even have to pretend to try, you can just blame Trump. I know you can't admit this now, but with time, therapy and maybe some pets, you'll figure it out.
Bro, do you even statistic? Because birth rates have been dropping for years. That's what the whole Project2025 forced birth agenda is about.
White males are having trouble breeding with free women, so they need to implement control systems to keep the population up (lest the "DEI hires" take over the majority, even though they're already the global majority and "competent white men" are about as common as unicorns, or dodos).
And your breederpron story about how hard you tried to do your reproductive duty just gives away your trolling. Women are allowed to not want kids. Deal therewith.

What else should I do? I am in a red state. Maybe I should enroll them in krav maga or show them how to use guns properly in case they ever need self defense.
Do I sound panicked? It is because I am!!

That's pretty unhinged. Pretty sure the poster can decide for herself her reasons for either wanting or not wanting to have a child.

If you don't see the unique threat Trump poses to the American way of life you are beyond help.
FDR put people in internment camps and Truman killed 200,000 civilians with a nuclear bomb. What were you taught in school? You are historically illiterate, have no context of how bad it was in the past, lack coping skills, and are completely unhinged.
Both Truman and FDR's actions against Japan and Japanese Americans were in response to an act of war committed by Japan. You can disagree with the necessity of these actions in hindsight but the American people in the 1940s had a valid reason to fear the Japanese and a valid reason for why the war in the Pacific needed to be ended (Japan refused to give up and the only alternative to the A-bombs was putting American troops on the ground on Japanese soil which would have led to as many deaths as the bombs caused).
I don't view Trump as a specific threat to the American people but his arrogance and lack of integrity makes him a very poor leader and it's human nature for people to be uncomfortable when their leader is a very poor leader. What happened between the US and Japan 80 years ago does not relate whatsoever.
And THIS is a perfectly reasonable answer. You think he is a poor leader, a bad person, but not a threat to the American people. And that's OK! I think that's all many folks on this thread are pointing out. Disliking a president, thinking they are bad at their job and working towards electing a new one is a normal response towards a disappointing outcome. "Preparing for the coming storm," trying to secure passports, hide money, rethink having a family, etc. is an abnormal, chicken little response. Figure out why you lost, what you misread about the governing majority and how you can convince people that your side is righteous. And hot tip for some other posters on here, it's not writing off everyone who isn't as tuned up as you as a "deranged MAGA moron."
Thank you.

I'm just blown away by some of the truly unhinged posts here.

Anonymous wrote:Plan B expires. So do pregnancy tests. Maybe just move to a place where politics isn't the end-all-be-all guiding force of your life, and you and your kids will be happier?
I can promise you that in most places in the country, NO ONE is thinking about or caring about the changes happening. They don't think about politics at all. And if they do, they hear about wasteful government bureaucracy being dismantled in Washington and think, "good," then go about their lives.
They don't care that malaria care is being cut in Uganda. They are happy that their state and local school district will have more control over what is taught. They voted for a guy who said he would install judges to overturn Roe v. Wade, and they got what they asked for.
You might not agree with these choices, but they aren't any less American than you are. It's called a correction. The pendulum swung too far in one direction, and now it is swinging back. I don't necessarily agree with all of it, but I also haven't wrapped myself in tinfoil awaiting Armageddon. That is my recommendation.

Someone's unhinged, but it's not who you think...
Trump dropped a nuke to intentionally kill 200,000 civilians and put American citizens in a detention camp? Please provide a link. What are you even talking about…
He didn’t even drone American citizens or invent putting migrant kids in cages, but you don’t want to have that conversation. Maybe it’s a good place to start however because a lot of people on this thread seem to think that American history began in the 21st Century and have literally no clue about anything that happened more than 25 years ago.
Rounding up migrants and putting them in detention camps. Potentially using the United States military to do so is so screwed up. Things like should stay in the past and yet here we are.
Rounding up illegal immigrants who committed violent crimes and sex crimes and putting them in a prison in Cuba is equivalent to putting law abiding American citizens in detention camps? Are you serious? Care to make that case to a Japanese elder who was put in a camp by Roosevelt after he or she had their home and business taken?
Is it your position that anyone in the world who crosses the border illegally should just be automatically be turned into a citizen? If so, should 500 million people be allowed to cross illegally? 1 billion?

We want our leaders to learn from
history not repeat it. How is that hard to understand? Stop the WhatAbout crap. And, while you’re at it, go read about countries like Hungary and Turkey and how life turned out for people in those countries when leaders used the SAME tactics Trump & Elon are using.
The Obama administration doubled down on one of its worst immigration legacies: the return and expansion of family detention. Responding to a court order holding that its family detention camps violated the 1997 Flores settlement agreement, the Obama administration Friday again defended family detention as necessary to send a message to Central American families that they are not welcome here—even though it concedes that most of them are fleeing persecution.

Yep. Astounding that democrats are opposed to saving money, getting rid of waste and fraud, ensuring women compete in women’s sports, and working toward world peace.
