He got rid of 18F, the entity that built the direct file software. He hasn’t gotten rid of the software itself.

Why would he delete this? How does he make money off of this?

People are filing their taxes now...

GOP Members are afraid of being primaried. They're afraid of Musk.

Seems to me that if the GOP doesn't want to become the Party of Musk they should work hard to coordinate and identify any threats like Musk-backed primary candidates early on and mount grassroots campaigns to have voters boycott them. Musk may have money but he would still need votes.

How are Musk and/or his minions accessing, controlling, manipulating or doing anything anywhere when AFAIK Doge is not an agency with an enabling act or authority or hierarchy, and at least minion-level personnel have to be hired pursuant to the Civil Service Act?

They are using white house credentials and putting any agency officials who don't cooperate on administrative leave which technically isn't getting fired so they don't have to go through any process to do it. Then they keep going down the line until they find someone willing to cooperate.

Thank you. That is helpful. What “White House credentials?” Are they White House employees? Who is putting agency officials on leave? With what authority? Executive order?

Who, nominally, is taking these actions? The newly appointed agency head?

The TRO against the grant freeze is being complied with.

Trump and Musk and a handful of others may be prepared to ignore the courts and the Supreme Court but departments, agencies, and everyone else is not. They will comply.

Everybody that has balked at musk and said no have been place in administrative leave and forced out. The people who refused to give up access to treasury, gone. The people
Who tried to stand in the way of musk at OPM are
gone. Who is next?

This seems like that Die Hard movie where the villain hacked into government systems and downloaded all financial data. He even looked a little like Musk. Bruce Willis saved the day in the end of course, but he’s not well enough to help us now.
