LOL - those letters dont help - come on!

Those letters and ridiculous accolades are what private school parents are paying for.

Gatorade first to tie shoes as held back 3rd grader award

National scholastic merit for achieving 8th grade award

Bla bla bla. It's a ridiculous farce. All private colleges care about is your ability to pay 60-80k per year tuition. Which things like this signal.

I am the poster that paid for private Hs. Our HS does not hand out those accolades---if any they are the night before graduation so colleges don't even see them.

And, a letter from a HS coach...lol. You think that has admissions weight???? Do you really???? Omg. 2 letters of Rec from teachers and one from GC. A kid could just as easily get a letter of rec from a Club coach that saw them from childhood through HS.

My kid did fantastic in acceptances and did not play sport w/in HS---only outside of it.

Or seen as a douche by many. lol It doesn't garner the respect you think it does at our HS. Too many talented kids playing outside of the HS confines.

WTF? My kid only played MLS Next. Got into several T10s/T20s and is at an Ivy this year.

Colleges truly don't care if you played HS or even won a HS title. They judge that you are doing something---they don't care if it's within school or outside of school.

Ours are just teachers at the school

Ours are the janitors.

Guarantee they are better than ours

Ours look like deer in headlights but they keep it positive and fun for all. The kids really enjoy it
