SO glad the petty tyrant Kim is gone. Humorless and rigid bothers me even more than selfish Pascal. At least Pascal is fun and has a sense of humor.

I agree. Jonathan was a turnoff in episode 3, sitting there in the unbuttoned shirt talking about being blindsided by the divorce. You could have been blindsided but then have learned something or examined what you contributed. I thought he was really attractive but he lost me with that conversation. He wants pity and mothering, I think.

I watched a little. I just don't think the franchise is generally good anymore. I had hope with the Gerry one, and he destroyed it by being not at all what was advertised. I think Joanne is likeable and authentically herself, no surprises there, but I think the men are mostly Gerries. There is too much storytelling going on.

So I think it is a woman-led revolt against the nonsense with Gerry. Millions of women bought into the idea that the Golden Bachelor would be sincere. The revulsion when he was found out to be someone with a different character caused women to give up on the Golden series. I know so many women who simply refuse to tune in!

He’s dull and insecure. And what’s with the shirts unbuttoned nearly to his navel? I’m betting he refused his ex-wife’s requests to go to therapy. He is too NEEDY.

First, how is that even possible since he claims he came to this country with nothing. When you are poor, you have to be even MORE resourceful than the average person.

Second, it is very strange to me that he isn't EMBARRASED about his lack of initiative, independence and self-reliance! If I was a single woman looking for a partner, I would NOT be looking for man-child that I have to take care of all the time. I want someone who is CAPABLE and who will take care of me -- not just throw money at a problem. I want someone who puts forth the effort to DO things for himself, and do things for me.

I don't know how Joan can even think Pascal is at all attractive. Sure, he's a nice-enough looking guy... but totally unattractive in other ways. Ick.



I seriously doubt he has real money, probably leveraged to the hilt. I don't find him the slightest bit attractive, but Joan sure seems to.

Joan seems so impressed with Pascal, really wants him to be into her. He isn't. I feel bad for her, but also disappointed because she clearly likes him for shallow reasons and doesn't get his very obvious number.


Don't underestimate how much she may do to keep the producers happy. It's a great storyline. Look at us here ... everyone talking about it.


But yes so ANNOYING. Why would the professors do that to us?

You need someone to be really annoying. If there’s no conflict at all, or nothing weird going on, it gets totally boring. He’s probably going to end up being the villain. Every reality show needs one. And look at what we’re seeing here, everybody already is talking trash about him. That’s in the edit, they’re making us react to him this way.
