Becuase its far more profitable to rob you with a promise of a college education in this country then it is for the promise to play a professional sport that is not yet proven to be marketable to all. Again to each their own. Only the club directors and board can answer that question, but I can guarantee you one thing the answer has 100% do to with money and not your child's development.

If last WWC didn't do it for you, not sure what will, its not if NWSL finds a way to have a reserrve team or under 21 team its when. Is it happening next year no, but its going to happen

NWSL teams are focused on the First Squad, most do not have reserve teams. Having an academy or reserve team takes time and resources away from focusing on the First team. Also, Pro teams do not want to upset local youth clubs (ticket sales). That's why the Spirit has not added another youth program after the DA a few years ago.

No. Is MBappe any worse of a player because he plays for PSG in Ligue 1 vs Man City in EPL or Real Madrid in La Liga? The league DOESN'T MAKE THE PLAYER.

At the end of the day, the only real thing that matters in the player. If they're good enough and they put in effort on their recruiting, they'll be seen and get offers - RL and EDP players are playing in D1. Talent is talent.

Little premature for anyone GA or ECNL to be thumping their chests, time will tell which league thriives but where you play matters little if you can play. If you can't play then go chase a badge, just hope you will actually play, far too many benchwarmers shelling out thousands of dollars each year just to say they play in one of these two leagues. Current ECNL parent, but I'd be an idiot to say that ECNL will have something resembling DA before GA does it. Models are differnt ECNL is only college, GA is a development academies that place girls at colleges and professionally. Pick which one works for your kid and then shut up

It's the colleges and summer leagues (USL W) that will help your DD get into a Pro Club after they play youth. Unless you want them to skip college ? Pro clubs are not looking to sign a bunch of kids at 16-18 even if they have academies. College is the step in-between
