Update re: Days Inn shooter, the one who KILLED a woman and injured 4 others, even for DC this is UNBELIEVABLE!

And then Frumin runs on a platform of saying Ward 3 isn’t sacrificing enough. And Ward 3 voters decide to vote him into office.

I don’t understand how the residents are happy with paying significantly more than the rest of the city while getting significantly less respect. It feels like an abusive relationship at this point.

I’m in Ward 4, which has its own pro-criminal Councilmember, so can’t really talk. But I still can’t believe you idiots read what Frumin explicitly told you and still voted for him.

I don't know how so many people appear willing to give her a pass. Sure, the Council is a problem. But she is a bigger one, and you just don't notice it because she pushes blame onto the Council so often.

The buck stops with her.

Signed, somehow who will sign a recall petition for Bowser after telling neighbors to pinch their nose and vote for her just a year ago. I was wrong.

Focusing on Frumin because recalling him is a possibility because it would be limited to Ward 3 voters. Would be hard to recall Bowser as there likely wouldn't be enough support across all wards to do so.

+1. Mayor doesn’t care about Ward 3. We are the easy band-aid solution to the problems of the city. Homeless? Stick them in Ward 3. Bad schools? Let’s overcrowd JR and Deal. Not enough money? Let’s raise taxes on high earners. Frumin, on the other hand, is supposed to be fighting for us. But most of his policy proposals would benefit the rest of the city more than Ward 3 residents. It’s bizarre.

Frumin sees himself more like an At-Large Councilmember advocating as he sees it for the interests of the entire District.

You would have to start the process. Start a petition. One isn't up and running for Frumin ^

They can't be started yet. Not until January.

Is there a group that will take him on? If we each expect each other to do it, who will do it?

Also, how do we take on the non-charging justice arm? Seems like they are derelict in the line of duty. I can't imagine just not showing up for my job the way they do.

^^stupid. there are many ANC members who are pro-transit and housing but anti-crime. in fact I’d wager that this is probably a very mainstream view in DC: “improve public transportation, increase affordable housing, and reduce crime.”

The @USAO_DC charging 22% fewer cases in October (while violent crime rose 14%) helps explain why the DC jail population stopped increasing in October.
