it's also unnatural to go sit in an office all day. more so than working from wherever you are where you also get to be outside and rest/ exercise etc.

you are the problem.
Your position is based on your own resentment of your place in society and how hard things were for you, not remotely based on any sense of altruism or what's good for other people or society or working mothers.
You are angry about something that isn't working in YOUR life, or has been hard for you, and instead of doing the work to examine what that is and be honest with yourself about what's not working for you, you have categorized people racially and labelled them as 'entitled'. It's lazy and toxic. Take a look in the mirror and get your own house in order.

Office work is unhealthy no matter what: sedentary, bad for posture, often stressful. But adding a commute (especially driving) just makes it worse. When I WFH I can exercise before work in the time I would otherwise be in the car.

Also, "isolation" is a choice and you don't have to choose it. I see my family in the house, I call my co-workers, I see neighbors when I break to take a walk, I do more kid activities and volunteerism because I don't have an evening commute.

So, basically you want everyone to be in person so they can supervise, mentor, guide, teach and do your work. You can do that just as easily online. Not everyone uses work for social.

Not anti wfh, but I’m super bored at home after 5 years.

My job is about to start two days a week which is a relief. I could probably never go back to 5 days a week.

My wife has a new job and currently works in the office everyday until she hits her 6 month mark.

The weirdos I work with I rather stay isolated at home and hang out with friends on weekends and/or engage in my hobbies.

Let's be real we are chained to our desks either way. At home, I can change my chair, stand up, and take a 10-minute walk around the block more often. Also, not everyone can live close to work. Having a short commute would be so much easier but it's not always an option.

It depends on the field. I'm in bio stats research for a big pharma company. Meetings are always done online because everyone has different WFH days. My work is usually very independent. There are so many factors as to why people want to WFM. We bought a house during the pandemic and it's a 45-minute drive. Doing those 2 days in person was a lot easier than the 3 days I am now required to do. If we could afford to live closer, we would but my work is in a very expensive suburb.

Another thing to add is a lot of moms like to WFH and paying them less would create a bigger issue with gender pay. My wife works from home and takes a huge paycheck to do that.

I think older people who aren’t comfortable with tech are annoyed by WFH. Or people who live alone and aren’t comfortable with being alone

Jealous that they need to go to work in person to fulfill their social needs and other don't. They want them back at work so they can have someone to corner and talk to about their 15 cats.

My husband WFH more than I do. It’s made him hotter. He runs and lifts on his lunch break now (got rid of his dad bod), and he does the dishes, folds his own laundry, and walks the dogs. This morning he made breakfast and sent the kid off to school so I could leave earlier. And, most importantly he gets up with the sun to make coffee for me. He also is super focused on his work—when I work at home with him, he is far more disciplined than I am about it. So there’s my sample size of one. Works for us.

It has ruined our sex life because I am not into a dude laying around all day.

This. And I say that as someone who gained 100 lbs working from home for the past 10 years.
