Is Bullis the new Sidwell prestige-wise?
We chose St. Andrew's over Bullis and we are sorry we did. St. Andrew's has not been the experience we thought.

Bullis: https://www.bullis.org/academics/college-counseling/college-matriculation
Sidwell: https://www.sidwell.edu/academics/college-counseling/college-matriculation
Are Sidwell's college outcomes better? Yes, but not by a whole lot ... maybe they are 15-20% better. But Sidwell has always been a significantly more prestigious school than Bullis, not just 15-20% more prestigious.
I can totally see why many families would then be drawn to Bullis. Especially, if their child will not be in the top 50th percentile of the class at Sidwell, they are likely to get better college outcomes at Bullis.

That says everything about those people and not the wonderful kids and families who make up Bullis and the other schools mentioned on this forum. Why do we have to cut down a school? There are kids there and families who make up that community. Why do you want to hurt them? Why does where one kid goes to college over another kid a determinative factor of anything? Some of the smartest and most successful people I know went to state schools. Where one goes to school does not make the person or define success. If your kid or any kid is happy at a school, that's all that matters. Every school in this area provides a good education to those who take advantage of all that it offers. To those who need to put others down or be negative to make themselves feel better, please stop and think about the people who read these posts.

Threads like this remind me of how other colleges are constantly comparing themselves to Harvard (We’re the Harvard or the South, Harvard of the west coast, etc..).
Other high schools/parents are constantly comparing themselves to Sidwell. So, Bullis can be the Sidwell of MoCo. Are y’all happy now?
Haha. The Sidwell of Potomac!
