She constantly overdresses and girl LOVES a cape. Its funny that they are trying for generational change when they are purposefully signaling to the older voters. They are just putting a visual to "MAGA".
What on earth are you talking about? They aren't "signaling" to anyone. And she looks very cute in the above picture. You people really need to grow up.
You need not be naive. Ever hear the phrase "dress for the job you want not the job you have"? I didn't say she didn't look cute. I said she is overdressed and she dresses like a 1940s housewife in almost every outfit. I love classic 1940s silhouettes but it's more than that the frequency in which she is using those specific types of silhouettes. She harkens back to the time period and for those who were raised in that time period and/or their moms dressed that way and they see it as a time when America was Great then yes it is subliminal signaling. It's like Hillary with the power suits.
Wait until she shows up in stole and fur muff....
Sometimes a dress is just a dress, but do continue the absurd over-analyzing of CD's fashion choices.

She dresses like a Donna Reed/Jackie O. wanna be. She is absolutely signaling that she and her husband want to take the US back to the "good old days" when women and minorities and immigrants and queers knew their place. Her fashion is absolutely the embodiment of MAGA.
She also has her own wardrobe of military style jackets. She wore one today in Iowa, with both Florida and US flag patches, and an embroidered "Casey Desantis First Lady of Florida" on the right side of her chest, like a military uniform
Looks like a drag queen did her makeup. Soooo much makeup!!

Seems... a little casual?
I suspect this is a dress, yes casual and stretchy and ruffly and cheap looking for a White House visit. Is Linda McMahon the only Republican woman wearing suits anymore?
Someone asked who else it was in the picture: https://miamiherald.typepad.com/nakedpolitics/2018/01/pam-bondi-casey-desantis-attend-white-house-womens-symposium.html
She is pregnant in this picture
OK? She still wore some bad clothes there. Almost the opposite from her usual clothing problem. Usually her stuff is too tight, too shiny, too princessy - too much. This time she looked like she found a wrinkled rag on the floor and decided to YOLO.

Anonymous wrote:Both the NY Post & Times have had recent articles highlighting her odd princessy style and clothing choices. DCUM didn’t make this up.
Anonymous wrote:Like other fascists, MAGA people are obsessed with power aesthetics (think of Trump insisting all his appointees be "out of central casting" i.e. look the part).
So, this over-the-top princess cosplay is absolutely the right approach for her politically. They will love it.

Are you out of your mind - she was 47 when she became First Lady. Did you mean somebody else![]()
Casey DeSantis is currently 42.
5 years at that age can be 50 years for white women
You again!
They are both white, pretty close European roots, different dressing style and they definitely don't look 50 years apart![]()
Here's Melania when she was Casey's age:
Casey has three young kids
Adjust for that as well - it’s clear who is ahead
I think Casey looks younger but I think Melania has infinitely better style.
To be clear, I don't like either of them, although I like Casey less because she seems like an active participant in her husband's awfulness whereas Melania was more of a reluctant bystander
