And as for the 2 Aldis I went to today, I saw several instacart shoppers shopping at both locations, none were wearing masks. Breathing all over your groceries I guess.

Again, masks are about simple curtesy and concern for others during a pandemic, store requirement or not. I don't think people who are pointing out his not wearing a mask are really splitting hairs over the store requirement, they are calling him out for not giving a crap about his constituents.

If you are familiar with Alexandria you know exactly where tis is.

There is NO mask requirement for this grocery store. None. There used to be a sign that asked you to wear a mask if you hadn't been vaccinated, but I don't know if that has been taken down. Regardless, Youngkin has already publicly stated he is vaccinated. He didn't have to wear a mask there. People need to unclench and let go.

I was at two Aldis today, the one on Monroe in Del Ray and the one on Duke near Foxchase. Both had small signs you could barely see inside that said masks were encouraged if you weren't vaccinated. There is no mask mandate in Alexandria. Businesses I believe can require masks, but most are NOT doing it. Please stop the insanity with just assuming there are mask requirements or that all Alexandrians wear masks. Screaming at each other, shaming people, it's pitiful.

that wasn't the issue and it isn't the issue. People claiming that the Bradless Center Safeway has a mask requirement and that the Governor wasn't abiding by it. Not whether there was covid in Safeway (FYI in 2022 you should just assume there will be covid anywhere and everywhere). You twist yourself in knots to find something wrong. I'm sorry you want everyone to be wearing masks in Safeway. Safeway doesn't require it. So you are free to not shop there and go somewhere else that does require shoppers to mask up. You will be hard pressed to find a grocery store in Alexandria that actually does require masks. I know of none.

A little bit of trivia: Albertsons owns Safeway, and it also owns Balduccis. I was at the OT Balduccis a week ago (against my better judgment, their prices are insane), and several of their employees weren't wearing masks, in addition to all the elderly people who shop there.

And as for the 2 Aldis I went to today, I saw several instacart shoppers shopping at both locations, none were wearing masks. Breathing all over your groceries I guess.

Me. Since you're so nosy (and sounds snobby) I needed to buy a bunch of gatorade for several sports teams. You can get an 8 pack for $5 which is almost half the price anywhere else and they have the flavors the kids requested. What's wrong with Aldi? You're too good for it?

I have nothing against Aldi but I'm sure you left shopping carts all over their parking lot though.

I'm not judging you based on rules, I have said repeatedly I am judging you on what is a simple courtesy. There are other behaviors that you could exhibit in public that I would draw the same conclusion from, many of those things I've stated already.

I have not accused anyone of breaking any rules. When I see you without a mask on I just assume that you are likely to do any number of things on the list of things that selfish jerks do. You know, things like not flushing a public toilet, leaving paper towels on the ground, leaving your Starbucks cup in the parking lot, leaving your car in front of the gas pump at a busy station while you go in the store to buy something because you think the gas pump is a parking space, believing the Handicapped parking space is also your personal 5 minute loading zone, and walking into a store 5 minutes before closing not knowing what you even want. You know any or all of these things is what I think you are more than likely to do because they are things jerks do.

NP. See this is where you lose me. You just ASSUME these other behaviors so you can use your baseless assumptions to justify something that is at best a courtesy at this point. If there was a mandate, statewide or business specific, and the poster refused to wear one, then I’d say, yeah, that’s a crappy move. But without a mandate, without a specific requirement, you don’t get to just set the parameters for what is acceptable based on your own rules because they make YOU feel better. Mask away all you want. I still do at times based on where I am and what I feel comfortable with, but I don’t demand everyone else wear one or call others names for not wearing one because of my own rule book. You’ve just made up a bunch of crap in your head to justify your own assumption (that is not based on science or fact) and expect people to go along with it.

Slapping a mask on for a brief period of time is a small ask and one that a self centered person is incapable of fulfilling. I don't know the heart and soul of mask wearers but those who simply can't be bothered speak loud and clear.
