What is the difference between a “powerhouse” team and a “very good” team? Does Loudoun have any “powerhouse” teams?

09s? 07s?

Loudoun 07 isn’t even the best 07 team in NOVA. Union is.

09s just got into ECNL. Win the MA a few times, not 1 time. (U13 is the easiest year, FYI.)

Can you name the last time Mclean beat Loudoun with just their team (e.g., no trapped players, no discovery players)? Please let me know what year that was before you anoint Union the "best. Also, when have they won against FCV? Have they ever? C'mon man - at least be truthful as you spout out crap.

Loudon Dad is BIG MAD.

I'm going to be honest - we are NOT happy with FCV right now. Like others have mentioned, FCV has no player pool and relies on word-of-mouth to get outside players. At the 2009 GA ID session (for which they only held one), there were a grand total of 10 outside players trying out. The 2009 team is not good - they have struggled in the ECNL-RL (many of those clubs field ECNL teams and pulled from their "A" teams, which beat FCV) and EDP league (both 09 top division and 08 lowest division). There is zero consistency, and Bobby only added 6 outside players. They did nothing to shake up the team and add other talented players, either out of parent loyalty or something. If your child is a 2009 birth year, stay far away from FCV. There are some solid players on that team, but they are getting overshadowed by their teammates who are there only to be a bragging point for their parents. If they are a 2010, then the GA team for that birth year may be solid (I've heard that they are winning their games and tournaments). 2008 and older, you might be good to go. Also - take note of the college commitments. Yes, FCV likes to brag that they can get all their graduating GA players on college rosters; however, those are letters of intent and not actual scholarships.

We're in the process of trying to leave the club for somewhere else because of the inconsistency. She's an older birth year, but she is frustrated and unhappy. She loves the game, but hates going to practice because of the players and coaching.

If you like yelling at refs and making them cry, go to Loudoun.
If you want to celebrate 4 out of 6 wins, come to VDA. We’d love to have you.

Ha. My kid is actually going to the VDA ID sessions next Monday. If we can't leave mid-season, then we're going to start putting her in front of as many coaches/clubs as possible once the fall season ends.

As for having an "FCV Dad" - we have one. He's obnoxious and is always sizing up his kid against the other players.

Great. You'll enjoy VDA

They well. Bye Felecia

Sounds like you need a FCV Dad for your age group. For every kid you bring in, you get $1k off your kids team fees!

Yes, in the warped mind of posters, showing current records somehow translated to chest thumping and 6-0 predictions. Complete and utter trolls. And yes, a VDA coach or some admin. member of theirs definitely trolls and posts on this forum.

VDA is simply not that good as a club overall. Neither is Loudoun or BRYC or for that matter Union or Arlington. Some age groups are good, others aren’t. I.e. in general, a “club” is irrelevant. All that matters is the combined set of players and the coach for a particular team. Everything else is bluster by those that are on this forum to denigrate others to make themselves look better, or to simply be a troll.

Oh, and then we’ll get the - all that really matters is college scholarships, then, no all that really matters is D1 scholarships, and then, no all that really matters is Power 5 D1 scholarships, and then no all that really matters is full rides to D1 Power 5 schools, and then no all that really matters is playing time at a D1 Power 5 schools, and then finally, U.S college soccer sucks and only European or “Latin” soccer is any good.

How is any club supposed to be very good when talent is so diluted in this area…. If we only had 2 ECNL programs, both would be top 10 in the country

So would L.A. ECNL teams. Dallas ECNL teams. NJ/NY ECNL teams. We have many clubs because we have many people, quite simple. Unsure how many would travel hour+ for a club over just playing local rec or travel to fill soccer needs. That is why some teams in the area are massive standouts that we can have robust club distribution and yet field some nationally competitive teams... like LA, NY, Dallas, Atlanta etc.

Go back to u-little soccer

I love when you trolls confirm I'm right.

A box of rocks is what you are. Truly. And no one…and I mean no one…wants to read or write 30 pages to school you. It’s a waste so people move on.

You keep confirming my elite status as not only right, but paying rent free in your head. Our area has enough kids to justify the clubs, sorry you just throw money away whilst we dominate. cope

You’re starting to confuse yourself and everyone else. Seriously, are you even the same poster because you don’t make sense if you are.

Yep, you are that guy paying a very large sum for mediocrity. Sorry to hear that

The university made up for what I spent plus another 60,000.

I’m the guy who knows what he’s talking about. You’re the guy who thinks he knows what he’s talking about.

Big difference.

Hey, Al Bundy, tells us how you scored 4 TDs in one game in HS
