I’m not so invested in it. I don’t think there have been any prior records for him. None of her friends have come out and said he was abusive or even a dick, right? I think murdering her and then hiding her body is more far fetched then him leaving her on the side of the road and her getting lost. I think he was scared and trying to cover it up, absolutely. But I don’t think he murdered her in a fit of rage and then hid her body. Maybe he did though?

If he had not taken her vehicle, and her phone, and then texted her mom pretending to be her, then I could entertain this possibility. But as it stands, no. He killed her.

It seems like we have some strong indicators she was confirmed alive in a different part of the country more than ten days after the UT couple was found. I’m assuming this contact her family had was by phone or FaceTime, since they have acknowledged that texts from later dates are suspicious (which I agree with).

Again that’s not to say a connection can be ruled out because…it’s really weird. But if it was connected, it was in a way where no one else who worked at Moonflower in Moab saw the police incident on the 12th (so it’s very improbable it involved Kylen) and Gabby had some sort of verified contact about 13 days later and was believed to be in another area entirely (presumably cell triangulation will be able to determine whether her stated location was correct or not, but that does typically take some time to receive and analyze).

She seems to be using her phone in the Moab body cam footage, so their whereabouts and when they left Moab can likely be tracked. Assuming she didn’t go into wifi only which would limit things a bit. Hopefully her family has a level of access over the phone account that will expedite analyzing some aspects of phone info on her end.

Did you watch the video? She was crying and upset and admitted she was stressed about her travel video blog and was having a hard time with her anxiety and OCD. On top of that, she admitted to slapping and hitting him causing the bleeding on his face and distracting him from driving. The police asked her if he physically harmed her and she said no. They didn't charge her with assault and physically separated them for the night. They also allowed her to call her parents and keep them on the line while she was in the police vehicle and being questioned. She was wearing revealing clothes so they would have noticed any bruises or marks. What else were the police supposed to do in this situation? She showed no signs of being harmed and had multiple opportunities to ask them for help. I know people are saying they could have prevented all of this, but they left her with the van and removed the boyfriend. If things were so bad she could have just left the boyfriend behind and went home, after the police escorted him to the hotel he had no idea where she was.

That means nothing. Intimate violence partners often don't have records because the women don't report them. Look at the released police body camera footage. The girl was talking to up to 4 LEOs at once and not once did she make an effort to say 'my boyfriend hit me, my boyfriend tried to strangle me, my boyfriend is abusive'.

Now we know he is - but its too late for her. Just like its too late for a lot of women including many with their own threads - I bet Kelsey Berreth, Suzanne Morphew, Jennifer Dulos would say their husbands had no prior records. I for sure know Chris Watts was clean as a whistle on paper.
