US 82nd airborne mobilized. 18,000 troops. Looks like they are going in to Iran! Maybe a drop on Tehran! Gets some combat jump wings!

The Ironic part is the countries calling for an end to this are the reason it is going on for so long. If we had full manpower with multiple airforces and navys attacking from multiple countries it would end this weekend.

Yes, the US is running low.

So the US sent all the military aid and arms to Ukraine and Israel and we have bare minimum to defend this country and protect our troops? Beautiful. What happened to Trump rebuilding our depleted military?

DJT just announced defense companies have agreed to quadruple weapons output.

Obviously, we don't have unlimited missiles or this wouldn't be necessary.

lol they produced 96 last year. Their goal was 400. 96 is used before 8 am. Oh each cost 12-13 millions to shoot down $20,000-50,000 drones and ballistic missiles.

Patriot missiles 500-600 a year. I doubt they can increase production. China has banned any material that is used by US military defense contractors- diamond, industrial magnets, rare earths, etc.

The US sent old 1980’s and 1990’s equipment to Ukraine. The US military has retired much of that out old equipment and does not use it.

Israel is a different story. We expended 1/3 of our top line interceptors in June and most likely another 1/3-1/2 in the current war. There is a 5 year backlog for most of these weapons system. The US is not restocking interceptors for Arab countries because we are out of them. Israel received F-35 before nato countries did.

Trump specializes in appeasing strong men with a history of war crimes.

More money for arms dealers (which I think his son just in invested in 🤔) but none for medical researchers, children with AIDS, violence prevention, education…

Such twisted values!

Elect women people.

+1

I'm so sick of hearing about "deals"-- it's like the country is trapped in a f*kin' game show 24/7. He communicates like a complete jackass.

Of course!

Did you people watch the video? She first asked about boots on the ground in general and then specifically asked about Israeli boots on the ground. At no point in this clip did she mention American boots on the ground. I’m sure you all want to read into it that way and you might be right. But that isn’t what was said and this is a misleading headline. This is the entire problem with the Internet people just spew out their opinions and everyone shares it uncritically.

That question was about American troops on the ground. What can be generalized about that? Would it be Canada’s troops on the ground in general? This is exclusive to the Us and Israel. The rest of our allies do not want part of this war

They aren't going to deploy a single IDF gunman to Iran. They expect the US Army to play bullet catcher for them. Maybe if they create concentration camps in Iran after they succeed, Israel will send the IDF to serve as rapists, torturers and serial killers to run the centers.

She first asks if there will be boots on the ground. Then she asks if those boots will include Israelis. It's obvious the first question refers to Americans boots. Not hard to understand.

Everyone knows Israelis like to have Americans fight their wars like they did in Iraq.

Israel could not supply the troops. It is a very small country. Its active duty ground forces are only 170k. They would be stretched to supply 10k troops. They are occupying Gaza, Lebanon, etc.

No. Not even close.

Give it a chance. Once the Chinese and other actors stop laughing at the US and collect themselves they might decide that Trump has made the US weak enough to make moves.

Huh. That’s a new (and silly) one.

China is most assuredly not laughing about this. Don’t believe me? Try the WaPo: https://wapo.st/4usIC9I

They are laughing at watching their only competition in the world commit economics kand strategic suicide in real time.

Economic, potentially. Though if our economy fails, China will be very badly hurt in the short/medium term.

Strategically? Just the opposite. Fall of Iranian regime would be very bad news for China. Did you even read the WaPo column posted above?

Here is the thing people do not understand about China. China has the biggest consumer market in the world. They are not dependent on the US. Only 8-10% of China’s trade is US dependent. They will be able to pick that up fairly easily because the US is imposing tariffs.

US collapse would lead to severe shock to Chin’s economy. Trade is only one factor—disrupting to energy markets, effect on global financial markets, US debt (of which China holds vast amounts), etc.

Moreover, how do Chinese consumers (who already save at high levels) react to economic uncertainty? They spend even less. There goes domestic demand.

Potentially catastrophic for the Chinese economy. We’re in a MAD destruction position with them, economically speaking.

The US doesn’t have to collapse. In fact, once we are immersed in a Trump-led recession the Chinese will sell is more crap and be in an even better bargaining position. The rest of he world is reorganizing around us.

I mean, whatever, our time as top dog is coming to an end, but it didn’t have to be so soon. He world will be a better place for it Lon term.

Is he the president of the US? It’s not just Benjamin Netanyahu. It’s all of Israel who acts like this. Who is he to dictate what our army is going to do? Shame on CONgrift and the White House. A senator broke a US marine’s arm the other day. The disdain our politicians and elite have for ordinary Americans can’t even be withheld anymore.
Hopefully everyone takes notice and vote out all of aipac’s bidders during the midterms
