ECNL is squeezing clubs to make a decision.
Now we know why SC Surf made the move.
You mean GA+MLSN are doing the same thing to clubs that ECNL used to do? Forcing clubs to play in boys ECNL if they wanted girls ECNL?
ECNL started the potentially illegal practice of tieing different products. GA+MLSN are just playing the game ECNL introduced. Before MLSN+GA announced a partnership earlier this year they were completely separate and didn't care if clubs had one or the other.
If ECNL does this, Bethesda, FC Delco, and PDA will need to make the move. I'm not sure ECNL has the guts to do this.
ECNL has definitely done this.
ECNL even took things a step further and taken girls ECNL away from clubs that don't do boys ECNL.
ECNL has also taken girls ECNL away if clubs play boys ECNL as their 2nd boys team behind MLSN.
100% correct. I wish the ECNL hats knew more about ECNLs history.
Can you inform us of ECNL’s history? I know they survived the girls DA.

Our club is making decisions based on "nothing big is going to happen"

In my opinion is GA is doing this slowly. no reason in blowing things up right now especially with all the issues with the SY/BY. I think this time next year, we will see a huge move for ecnl girls teams that have mlsnext boys teams to GA. they are for a fact giving hints now to these ecnl girls clubs that have mlsnext. but the merger with mlsnext is new and I am sure they want to not mess things up. GA is probably laying the groundwork now, organizing conferences etc and doing the future legwork for these ecnl girls teams to move to GA.
Anonymous wrote:Why did this turn into a ECNL vs GA thread? Should we change title? End of the day both good platforms both have awesome and crappy teams so why cant we all just get along. Lol
The tournaments will decide which team is better

Yes, but not the equivalent of PDA. There are certain clubs that run ECNL and one of them is PDA. The other one is Pipeline.
