No drama at Woodson. The Cavs are on a mission for a state championship in 2025. Stay tuned for a Madison take down, or we could be 8-12 to finish the season.
I'm sorry. I just don't believe you.
Did something happen with the Woodson Coach? Will he be coaching tonight? Not that it will make any difference against Madison. His assistants do all the coaching.
West Potomac parent here.
During the Region Championship game that our girls battled very hard for and won 9-6 over C.G. Woodson-- which, by the way,
is our first Region title in school history for Girls Lacrosse!!) Go Wolverines!!
The airhorn sounded to end the game. West Potomac celebrates on the field. What appears to be one of the Woodson coaches- can be seen approaching the scorers table, grabs the air horn from a female teenager/student-manager. The coach (allegedly) points the airhorn at the child, about 12 inches from her face....and blasts the airhorn. The coach then walks away, tossing the horn on the ground. (allegedly).
At least, that is what I can see on the film on NFHS site. Please look for yourself and correct me if I am wrong.
Those airhorns are VERY loud and could cause injury that close to the ears.
Clearly pointed airhorn at student and blows horn in her face. No doubt about that. Certainly going to be some fallout for that.
Film doesn’t lie. Come on man you’re an adult show some class.
This post game behavior by a coach from the losing team is unbelievable. I would expect that from an immature 9th grade boy- but not a coach. The coach is a poor role model and a disgrace. Such arrogance.
I am curious to know if that coach has been relieved of his duties. Will he be coaching tonight?

Was that related to stick check thing (like trying to get refs attention)? or completely separate?

Battlefield rolls and covers the spread easily. Go Bobcats and the 7 Super Freshmen! 4 year streak of State titles starts tonight! Maybe I should trademark the "4-Peat" now?
Not with their sexist AD. Bobcats won't even make the state final this year.

Draw girl was using an illegal pocket.
I'm new to this, but how does an illegal pocket help a draw stick that is not intended to be used to catch, pass, and shoot? Just unintentional deep pocket?
A deeper pocket can make it easier to win the draw because it creates a larger catching surface and allows the ball to be held more securely. This can provide a more stable and controlled draw
So do you think it was intentional? Curious if the illegal stick will be used tonight. How much advantage does a iegal draw stick provide? Seems like the hassle and delay of switching with another player and then the other player having to play with a draw stick is not very beneficial. Thoughts?
