Presumably every u8 and u9 kid at cya and sya magically made one of many all star teams. Just enter that cc number.
not a Valor hater-my kid plays Valor now on one of those low color teams everyone mocks here-but he did this tournament in the spring and it was pretty lame. There were 6 U8 boys all star teams all from sya and our rec league only had like 8 or 9 teams LOL. So, it was a little silly and clearly a "more the merrier/your cash is good here" situation. The "all star" coaches were all high school boys so I get why pp doesn't remember the name. I don't either! He was not that much to remember about. Sorry kid!

It was the Father’s Day Fiesta All Star Tournament. There was nothing wrong with the medals. We have one at home, and it looks nice. All Star is for rec teams, and the kids play like kids from rec... I am not sure what was everyone expecting .
This sounds like something a Valor guy would write. Just saying.
Which particular all star team did your kid play for in this tournament?
I’m not. My kid played in All
stars U9, three times. Loved it. Our team was from SYA, and our coach always nominated only the best kids. He never nominated his own kid. Other people might have a different experience, but we enjoyed All Stars.
Which team was he on when he won the medal?
I don’t remember anymore. All the SYA kids were divided into teams and coaches were assigned. I’m not sure if they had a name. Why does it matter? Again, maybe some people didn’t like the medals/didn’t get medals/their kids were not nominated, but for us it was fun and kid enjoyed it.
Lol! It was u9....are you saying they had multiple all star teams for u9 boys? How is that even an all star team?

no other club on here comes even close to this much disgust. its pretty amazing actually.
It’s actually just the same parents on here making the moist noise and trying to start drama because they have nothing better to do. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet
200 pages of complaints is just a few parents?
I wouldn’t doubt it at all. It only takes a couple of unhinged people posting prolifically to really set the tone of a thread. You see it in the politics forum a lot. You can tell by writing style. I also think someone popping up very so often and saying “wow so many complaints must be really bad there” is the same poster. There are some crazy parents in this little neck of the woods. There is money but not a ton of athletic talent. Parents who weren’t high level athletes can’t seem to grasp that money doesn’t buy talent. You either got it or you don’t. If you keep signing your unathletic child up for Valor that’s on you. An athletic kid can make improvements even with crappy coaching just from repetition. If your kid hasn’t improved for several years on a lower Valor team it’s time to rethink travel soccer. Sorry the truth hurts.
Yeah not everyone is chronically online like some of you wack jobs. I live in the area. Things said on here are said out loud in the community not just at games/practices/anonymous message boards. Keep coping harder. I know a few Valor parents posting on here in defense of the club that are just as quick to talk crap about valor in private. My assumption is the only reason they're there is that they couldn't get on better teams elsewhere while masking it as their player just really loves the community and kids they play with will while never mentioning the actual club being good.
or have a coach who knows what they are doingAnonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:We are in MD and have never played a valor team but their org must really be something awful to inspire so much hating from all their former and so many current parents.

Um, you might want to look in the mirror because you are clearly a wack job. The club is no different than any other club in the area, top team gets preferential treatment. Bottom teams are formed for those that want to play travel, but need improvements to move up. Parents are typical FFX parents in that some are chill, some think their kids are awesome, and some are just odd. I've had kids play for a few teams in the area and I can tell you they are all the same, but different. Meaning you will like things about Valor and hate others, just like at any other club. This means it's a great fit for some and not for others. This is about as honest of opinion you will get, if winning is your primary goal then go tryout for Arlington, Bethesda, etc.
Top teams is all relative. Just because you are on a top team at Valor doesn't mean you have top team talent.
