That’s not even remotely true. There’s no evidence that travel, in of itself, leads to an increased chance of COVID.


Also even if I accept this as truth, then ban travel to a specific number of "shitshow states." It's not a case for banning travel to everywhere outside the DMV.


Agreed. There's a huge difference in traveling to MA or VT where vaccinations are higher and cases are lower than DC and SW VA where they're they're the opposite.


Not to mention people can still travel without kids and then give it to them when they get home.

DP. No, schools will be less likely to shut down if OP’s hypothetical asymptomatic infection goes undetected and doesn’t spread.

Exactly. It's like telling someone they can have ice cream, cotton candy, and cookies, but no cake - that's completely different because sugar is bad for you so NO CAKE!!!

Yup. We opted in for testing last year and followed all the precautions. Not doing that this year. Can't wait until a class gets sent home for a positive test. It's going to be a doozy of a time.
