If his ex wife suspected he'd had an affair with one of his students - that might have been plenty to send her away. Unless of course it was her and this is a deflection.
Yeah, I guess so. But they seemed very happy initially. Just thinking that even if she had doubts, it would take her some time to figure out what to do. Moving out quickly and cutting contact makes it seem like she had reason to not trust him and there’s more to the story.
I keep reading people saying Lori is involved. I really hope not. Mare isn’t a bad person, and I don’t want her to lose her support system.
You realize this is TV right? Also it is a limited series, that means no season 2 to pick up the story...
Why the snark? I'm pretty sure that lots of people pick characters they like/don't like, are rooting for and are not rooting for. There are outcomes we want for certain characters and don't want for others...
In no way does that mean we aren't aware it is fiction.
I think the point is "mare isn't a bad person" makes you sound like one of those losers who watches daytime soaps and thinks it's real. "Mare" is entirely a fictional character, played by an English actress on American television. She's not a bad person because she ISNT A PERSON AT ALL

Heart attack?
I saw somewhere that the actress passed away. I don’t know when. If it was during filming (and filming did take a long time due to the pandemic), they may have changed that story line and put it to rest.

The boys who would have been 14 years old at the time, opposed to his being early 20s? Give me a break.
