Ok, 5 out of 500 gives you 1% in a country where blacks make up 15% of the population.
yep and there were 10 asian at mostly smaller companies. But I don't have a problem with Asians, Whites, Latinos or Blacks. I also do not have a problem with holistic admissions. I am glad that my kids know that you win some and lose some but you get up and move forward. Life goes on and can be very good. Lots of places to go to school and lots of ways to earn a great living. You are just angry at Black people which is funny since it was not created by or for Black people.
This thread is not about any anger towards black people. Nice deflection. Why wouldn’t you say the same thing to black people? Hey lighten up, you win some you lose some. Try other schools if your scores aren’t good enough. Why ask for special preference? I mean you’ve even got plenty of black colleges and universities to choose from. Why complain about the unfair treatment that’s waged against you in our society?. Move forward.![]()
This thread is about racism against Asians. Keep up and try to broaden your worldview beyond black and white.
Black people already do that, we could not go to White schools so we built our own. If you read this thread there are people posting about black outcomes, black intelligence and black qualifications. They are saying that black people do not deserve their spot at Harvard and therefore the world discounts their degrees. Moreover someone keeps posting that blacks have bad outcomes who go to Harvard.
This post does not amplify Asian qualifications beyond saying that as a group they have high SAT scores and then someone post that black Harvard students have some ridiculously low score (not an accurate score). So the post is very negative about Blacks. And honestly it’s not positive about Asians. It makes Asians look angry at Blacks and bitter. If you can’t see how this would be disturbing to Blacks ... I don’t know what to say.
You missed the big picture. As blacks need affirmative action in college, they also need affirmative action in life after college. In fact, they need affirmative action from the cradle to the grave. Fire 🔥 all these Karens in the corporate America. There’s so many Karens out there that this simple action will be enough to make room for blacks to move into their new positions. BLM. Don’t just say it. Mean it.
I did not miss any point. I just do not understand how Asians think bashing Blacks will improve their own circumstances. Why must they focus on tearing down Blacks.
Who is tearing down blacks? You need to tear down the old system - with hammer - to bring about a new system. 15% ceos in corporate America. This means you need to destroy the status quo, get rid of these old farts to make room for the new 15%. And we aren’t talking only 15% ceos. We are talking 15% in everything else - in law, healthcare, entertainment, sports... Think the NBA, the NFL... For this, you need a hammer 🔨 to destroy the status quo.

Maybe if that were the official ruling, we can at least confront reality and move on with our lives.
I guess you should move on. Describe it as you wish but Harvard’s holistic admission process was found to be legal. The holistic admission standard has been ruled on in quite a few cases and it has been upheld repeatedly.
If true, courts may have done that to give ammunition to employers to “holistically” evaluate their applicants and employees. As Harvard uses holistic evaluation, corporate America uses holistic evaluation in evaluating Harvard URM’s watered-down degrees.
See it as you will. I understand you will not hire any black people and that is ok. But Asians numbers in corporate America are not good so it might backfire on you.
Not many Asians go into business, finance, mba, so it’s not critical Asians need to shine in those areas. Asians typically don’t go into sports either.
According to the economist
Fifteen years later Asians are still under-represented. Some 11% of associates at American law firms are Asian, but only 3% of partners are. In technology Asians make up over 30% of the workers but less than 15% of bosses. In 2017 Asians made up roughly 6% of the country’s population but only 3% (16) of the bosses of s&p 500 firms.

Looking for Asians in top positions in the US is not unlike looking for whites in Africa or blacks in Asia.
Again with your really low iq analogy? You are saying that only black and white people are American.
How about this, why are you complaining of the lack of blacks in high positions? That’s like complaining about not enough Asians as top positions in African companies?
You need to complain cuz if blacks are struggling in the job market, it’s got to be systematic discrimination. BLM. Don’t just say it. Mean it. Maybe we need to institute affirmative action in the job market to GUARANTEE there’s no discrimination. Only guarantees I see, following the university quota system, is a lifetime of job market quota system. Instead of 5 black ceos in the Fortune 500, there must be at least 75 to bring to 15% to mirror their general population. Break up the good ol’ boys’ network to make room for the new ceos.

OK you were posting that blacks did not have good outcomes. I was merely pointing out that the huge proportion of Asian students going to elite schools have similarly poor outcomes if that is the standard. Again, I do not have a problem with anyone or the standard i just think if you are going to repeatedly post URMs under preform you should be aware that the huge contingent of Asians at elite schools have the same outcomes. both groups do worse than whites.
Do you have a study showing Asian ivy alums do poorly? I’ve seen a study that shows black H alums don’t do all that great.
Funny, when the Asian discrimination investigation started the school stopped publishing compensation numbers by race. Here is the breakout for 2019 but it only goes as far as male and female now.
https://features.thecrimson.com/2019/senior-survey/after-harvard/
I do not think there will be any more information released by race in the future.
Your link provides only general info. One study that shows Harvard grads outcome is an interesting study showing undergraduate origin of of Harvard law and medical schools. These schools are not majority Harvard undergraduate students. In fact Harvard routinely reject Harvard undergraduates in favor of state university graduates. So one conclusion from the study is that H isn’t all that. Harvard graduates, blacks, Asians, or whites are routinely rejected when competing with state university grads. It does not show white H grads do better than Asian Harvard grads.

A 34 ACT and 104 weight GPA from one kid with every advantage in the world vs a 30 ACT and a 98 weighted GPA with every disadvantage in the world which is bigger accomplishment?
Except that's not what a holistic admissions process entails.
The exact opposite in fact. A white kid with every advantage in the world and a 30 ACT and 98 weighted GPA with legacy and/or donor status will get in over an Asian kid with no advantages and a 34 ACT and 104 weighted GPA.
