The problem is you can’t get tested. I have been exposed to someone who has tested positive and have risk factors. My doctor has tried, and they say I don’t meet criteria. Something has to change about this process.

The magnet school or the K-8?

News articles say he returned to DC from a conference in Louisville, KY on Feb 22 (where he may have been exposed to it) and was at church services at Chris Church in Feb 23. And at three services last weekend attended by hundreds of parishioners.

From a CBS News report: The D.C. Department of Health said in a statement that it has been in contact with the church and "determined an individual's visitation to Christ Church Georgetown warrants precautionary measures." The department recommended "a temporary pause of services" and said it was "conducting an intensive investigation to identify any exposures to COVID-19 that may have occurred at the church," referring to the virus.

It could really slow the spread if parishioners who shook his hand, took communion, or otherwise came in contact with him stayed home/self quarantined as much as possible over the next two weeks. It’s the responsible thing to do.

Pretty soon everyone's going to have to go into 14 day quarantine whenever we come into contact with anyone from anywhere!

Have the parishioners been advised whether to get tested or self quarantine even if they don’t have any symptoms?

Where does it mention Rector attended a conference and where was the location?

Didn't Congress say they already are working from home? Elite take care of themselves first.

Senator Cruz is working from home this week. A person he had a brief exchange with at CPAC has tested positive.

Cruz shook hands too.

There are strains that make determining point of contact easier. The person called Taiwanese American apparently lives in Taiwan and the strain matches Nile cruisers. Taiwan had a tour group to Israel that flew on the same flight as a released Diamond Princess passenger [Israeli ]. https://focustaiwan.tw/society/202003020024

"11-member tour group flew from Taipei to Istanbul on Feb. 27 and then from Istanbul to Tel Aviv on Turkish Airlines flight TK784 early on the morning of Feb. 28.
The Israeli passenger also took flight TK784 on his return to Israel from Japan, after having presumably recovered from his novel coronavirus infection developed on the ill-fated Diamond Princess cruise ship.
He was diagnosed with COVID-19 soon after arriving home, however, and all other people who had been on TK784 were required to leave Israel immediately as a precaution"

Have DC, MD, VA given out flight numbers or TX which has more Nile River cruisers? Every Nile Rver cruiser should be monitored and at a minimum go into self-quarantine.

Agree that they should give out flight numbers out of interest in public health. Lots of people come in contact with passengers from flights and not just other passengers. There are people that work in customs area, wheelchair pushers, various airline employees.

And at Dulles, depending on the time of the day, there can be 5 or 6 flights all coming in at the same time and all standing together in the passport control lines together for sometimes a long time.

I happen to know a couple who was on a Nile rive cruise last week and are now coming back from Europe through Dulles. Refusing to self-quarantine. DW thinks I should call the health department and alert them to their arrival. Would that do anything?

You 100% should call.

I know a couple who was also on a Nile River cruise that arrived back at Dulles 2/29 but live in Richmond. They were not special screened or told to quarantine. Last night they went to a big concert down there. NBD to them. I can't even.

One better. I know a doc and his family who have been in Europe all week. He'll come back, not quarantine, and go back to doctoring.

What kind of DR? I’m seeing a DR this week in MoCo who has been out on vacation for the last 10 days—so I figure it was a trip abroad. OBGYN.

Doesn’t hurt to try! What jerks.

Speaking of jerks the FX and VA PC press conference isn't available online so I watched it on the abc7 facebook page. That crew is more concerned with confidentiality than flight numbers or mandatary quarantine/isolation of the person who cruised with the coronavirus hospitalized man who is a resident of Fairfax County. So if grandchildren were hugging/kissing grandpa then FX/FCPS should follow he PA precedent and close or at least notify schools.

FX County and McKay get an F. Bucks County PA an A. MOCO a D. Bowser a C.
