You're obviously one of the Jews on this thread reading every response with your guard up. What I got from PP was a suggestion that the OP simply ask the rabbi for advice on dealing with her mother about this. And I have to say it sounds like a very reasonable idea.

And no rabbi would be ok with saying Christian grace unless it was to appease the mother when she visits.
