Resources are decreasing so quality of ECE will go down. No money for ECE professional and teacher development, supplies, extra aides, testing, etc...
If DCPS decides to maintain all the ECE in their schools and that’s a big if, it likely won’t be as available the following year or offered to only low income families.
Here we go again. This person is always trying to stir up rumors and it always comes back to how special and wonderful the ECE professional development is.
So what is a rumor again? The Chancellor just released a letter to all preK families about there not being Head Start next school year.
It's a rumor unless supporting documentation is provided. Being right on occasion doesn't mean it wasn't a rumor at the time it was first stated.
I’ve been following this and everything that was posted about head start has been true. You people are the first to accuse troll and the last to admit that you have been wrong every single time. Yea troll.
Uh, no. This troll was constantly rumor-mongering about this school and that school losing Head Start, with random and constantly changing lists of schools that didn't make any sense if you knew the school's demographics. Then, it turns out, none of that stuff was true, they're ALL losing it. Troll's intel not looking so good.

Good question. I think UPO has their own Head Start grant, but I'm it sure will have an impact on the community-based organizations that offer Pre-K.

Same! And by giving up the federal funding, does that mean that the impetus for DCPS to improve on safety will be removed?
