We already transport them from the centers. Some are in California, some are in Texas/New Mexico. They are then moved all over the country. Why not put them in towns/cities where voters want them?
Dropping them off on a random street corner in the middle of the night was what was proposed
On a sanctuary. Perfect.
Good to know. At least y'all have finally admitted that you don't care about illegal immigration or any of the other claptrap that comes out yall's mouth. All that matters to you is hate and "sticking it to the libs".
Anonymous wrote:This thread is an excellent example of what idiots Trump-supporters are. They don't understand what sanctuary cities are. Pathetic and deplorable.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The irony of course is that all these people are headed straight to the very same sanctuary city communities anyway to live 20 in a house in your neighborhoods. Good luck when they show up to your schools.
You really are POed your kids have to go to school with these nasty, dirty, ignorant, leechorous people aren't you? Scourge of the earth bringing you down.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Can ANYONE address what is wrong with the actual act of taking illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities, rather than reacting on their emotional reaction to it or Trump's motivation for it? Good Lord. I read this entire thread and it's unreal.
Really? I don't think we need a discussion of why busing people across the country and dropping them off on a random street corner is a stupid policy idea. There's noone on any side of the political debate that can defend it on policy grounds. It is as pure an example as one can find of a solely political proposal. The only way to defend the proposal is "haha, snowflakes sucks. death to the libs!"
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:You can't have a policy discussion around a proposal that is fundamentally unserious and treasonous (or do you have another word for parts of the.Executive branch intentionally choosing to go against the judicial and legislative branches). Stop the dumb ass both sides games. I will not hold the Democrats to a higher standard than the Republicans. Trump had full power for two years and couldn't get his own head out of his ass. There's been a bipartisan compromise plan with majority support languishing in Congress ready to go for years. Trump does not care and does not want to solve the problem. He simply wants to be an asshole.
Yep but he’s our asshole.
Anonymous wrote:The problem is that until last year, the issue was being managed, but the Trump policy both at the border and with foreign aid are exacerbating the issue. He is doing this purposefully to get the "right" all fired up and make it a core issue in 2020. It ddn't need to be, but he wants it to be, and folks here and across the country who consume Fox news are eating up. It is a really sad commentary on whatever is left of critical thinking.

These plans were not meant to help immigrants...they were meant to PUNISH US citizens.
You all keep using words like "punish." Its not a punishment if you want them to come. He knows you want them to come. The cities/state's own laws have declared that these people are a delight. Your assertion that this is a punishment is off when they've stated explicitly that these people are a joy.
Trump & Miller's intentions were to punish. You don't have a problem with that?
DP. Please explain to us how this arrangement could possibly be considered punishment if you're so welcoming of immigrants in the first place? You should be giddy with excitement, right? I mean, what's the downside?

Precisely. Funny that only now, when there's a real chance these immigrants could be living en masse in these cities, do liberals think it would be "punishment". So many examples of liberal hypocrisy, and this is one of the best. Nice work, liberals!

How? Liberals are constantly braying that immigrants, both illegal and legal, are a fine addition to this country, remember? So how would bringing these illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities - where presumably, they are welcome - be a punishment of any kind? You make no sense. But one thing is clear; you actually *don't* think these immigrants are a welcome addition, even though that runs completely contrary to everything you've been saying. Which makes you... a huge hypocrite.

Why is it bad? Because by putting all of the illegal immigrants in small areas it would cause all kinds of hurt for the local governments: feeding them, housing them, educating them, not to mention the strain on medical and police services.
It's a way of punishing the cities or locales that are identified as being friendly to immigrants.
It's punitive, Trump's favorite way of handling his adversaries or people who don't support him.
