I mean football ... er I mean futbol, and that other club is better anyways, and your DD is never gone go pro or play college. So just save your money and shelter your kid. The world is a scary place full of petty coaches that’ll cut your DDs playing time if they find out your trying out.
Anyhow ... just thought I’d contribute some equally stupid posts to this dumb, but thoroughly entertaining forum.

Training and environment have been great. Costs are on par with the other DAs. There’s really not much else to plan for other than recruiting those few players needed to make the rosters stronger.

That and move the play ups back down to their own teams. That would shift the tide for Spirit.
Agreed. My guess is that if they are able to pick up the players at age group, they will be more able to play the younger kids at age. It may take some time to pick up the players they need but it seems they are stepping up recruiting efforts with the pro camps, etc.
Yes, the pro connection may draw in the older talent and correct the shift for all teams.
Yes, the pro connection where girls can hope to make 35K / year as opposed to getting a scholarship and going to be a professional and make 6 figures.
Good plan!

“The best predictor of future behaviour is past behaviour”. As much as the spirit VA parents can hope for something different next year, it’s simply not realistic.
Did you know that when the WNT won the WC in China, it was a shock to everyone? and can you believe the MNT could ever be third place? But they were. You see, your quote may apply to individuals, but as teams go, past performance does not necessarily predict the future.
When was MNT third place?
1930. Best WC result ever.
Back when Europe was rebuilding from WWI and preparing for WW2. Bravo!
That's all you got out of all that. Wow. That explains you.
Lol. Am I wrong? Was it the Black plague?

Lmfao. What world do you live in? Where are these 3-4 players at?

Anonymous wrote:It would be different if their was some tangible evidence that things at Spirit were about to change for the better. So far, all parents have received was a form letter from Larry Best with a lot of grandiose talk about making the DA better-but as a Spirit parent, I’m not sure what exactly that means going forward. There has been no additional info from the coaches or from Best about how the program is going to change for the better. It would be very much in their best interests to have a parent meeting and lay out some actual plans for the future and also express a desire for their current players to stay the course, otherwise more than just a few may abandon ship.
