Interestingly, those of you insisting Miller is a white supremacist seem to be extremely familiar with white supremacist catch-phrases and ideology. I would never, ever have equated what Miller said with anything nefarious. You liberals are simply doing what you do best: dialing up the misplaced outrage whenever you think you can get away with it. People don't take you seriously.
Interestingly, those of you willing to defend this Administration seem to be willing to ignore obvious signs and dogwhistles associated with the most deplorable elements of our society. I would never have assumed that so many in our country were so nefarious. You Trumpkinds are simply doing what you do best: enabling the racists and nazi's to be encouraged and energized whenever they can get away with it. People don't take you seriously.
Remember the lessons of 1930's German. Silence is complicity. Either you speak out or you are part of it. You are picking your side by going along with it.
I find it so curious that so many liberals are so "familiar" with these supposed whit supremacist "symbols" and "dog whistles." Who has time to closely study ideology they don't identify with? I never would have thought to do that. So strange. Makes you wonder.

What he was trying to do was to suggest that the policy was racist and he used a rationale that was nonsensical.
I am just amazed that anyone rationalizes Acosta's rant.
I obviously did not vote for Trump and I think Miller's motivations are questionable but I watched the news conference and he was intellectually head and shoulders above the likes of Acosta. Miller went to Duke and Acosta to JMU - colleges don't always tell everything about intellectual prowess but in this case, I think it does tell the story.
Spot on. James Madison as a URM when you can write essays about your dad fleeing Cuba = total moron. Just a fact.
Nobody can deny Miller is sharp as a tack.
Anonymous wrote:That exchange between Miller and Acosta yesterday was shameful. I don't like Miller, but he should have stepped off the podium, walked over to Acosta, and bitch slapped him. There's always a decent argument to make on anything, but that wasn't it. Acosta should be removed from the press pool and replaced with a real reporter.

Our country is very different. Do we want to be Canada, Australia, Switzerland? No. Then why do we want their immigration system?
yes - yes we do. quality of life is superior in those three countries. It is also so much harder to get into.
+100
I'm not sure why anyone would put down Canada, Australia, or Switzerland. They're obviously doing something right.

He's just constantly trying to go viral so he can impress some desperate 30- and 40-somethings at cocktail parties. He's a creep who sacked his wife of 24 years to chase whores.

I completely agree with you. Except for one thing - are you the poster who keeps bring up where they each went to college? If so, you're making it pretty obvious you (or your kid) didn't get into JMU and you're still bitter. Otherwise, why the insistence on putting down a good school? You're not exactly making liberals more appealing.
I don't think I have ever brought where one attends college up in posts previously because, in part, I have worked with people who went to less than stellar schools and they have been pretty sharp and competent. But the reality is that the better schools are more demanding when it comes to admission in relation to academic standards. Acosta showed that he could not think quickly on his feet and more to the point, he was reflecting his own bias as a reporter because he believes - probably correctly - that there is a racist component to the new immigration proposal.
You are drawing a lot of conclusions about a two minute conversation. Where did you go to college?![]()
You would not be familiar with it .......... neither would Acosta!
