I work for large financial company. Sells to american only consumer. Most of the us citizens have been fired and replaced with cheaper H1Bs. The MBAs that did most of the firing have ALSO been replaced in the last 8 years. We do not hire ordinary college graduates for entry level positions. Company makes over 6 Billion a year, supported by taxpayers.

We have tables and tables of Indians that are replaced on a simple notice with other cheaper Indians. TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, Indian H1B body shops.

The software is worse and the only thing that keeps the company in place is cheap federal money.

Federal government has made the trends WORSE by subsidizing cheap workers to be flown in from India and Mexico to replace local workers.

Cheap federal money without good product in return is bad; company should fail.
Workers from India: they are welcome. Why should I get the job and not the guy from India? Just because of an accident of birth?
Their need is probably greater anyway.

You completely missed the point. It is immaterial what 'they' have or don't have at this point. Trump was exhorting a hostile foreign government to engage in cyber spying against his opponent for his own personal gain in the election for our next President. No other candidate - certainly not Hillary - couldn't have gotten away with that kind of treasonous statement. Amazingly, the Republican elite have been remarkably silent. This is unprecedented.

If they already have the information, they can use it to "our determent" in any event. If they don't have the information, they cannot access the information from a now non-existent server whether Trump or anyone else "invites" them to do so.

Now this is quite apart from the fact that the emails he is referring to are the deleted emails that Clinton assured us were private communications that had nothing to do with national security. So how do private emails impact national security?

This narrative that Trump was asking Russia to "hack" Clinton's emails has been repeated ad nauseum by the media and they are either being outright dishonest or outright ignorant because there is nothing to hack given that the server is not functional and has not been for a while.

Now whether it is appropriate for a candidate to encourage a foreign country to interfere in the elections of this country is a valid point although the consequences are something that would be decided by voters at the polls just like other things that Trump has said. But to argue - as you and some in the media have done - that this is "treasonous" is idiotic. First, the definition of treason in the US does not fit what Trump did. So we are going to charge Trump with treason because he encouraged Russia to release Clinton's emails about yoga and Chelsea's wedding plans?? It really is ludicrous when people blindly just repeat the claptrap that the media drones on about.

As far as Clinton not getting away with such a "treasonous" statement, she actually got away with jeopardizing national security using a private server.

Finally, I am not a Trump supporter. I think he is unqualified to be president but I am not a Clinton supporter either because I think that she is a fundamentally dishonest person who has appallingly bad judgement. I have been a consistent supporter of Democrats for decades including voting for Obama on both occasions. For the umpteenth time, one cannot hack a non-existent server. If the Russians or anyone else did hack the server before it was removed from operation and wiped clean, they have the information already. IMO, and it is pure conjecture, I think there were communications about the Clinton Foundation.

I suspect there are Republicans who believe that she deleted compromising emails. I have no idea whether she did or not. But the Clinton campaign seems to be concerned.

Leon Panetta, former head of the CIA, apparently is going to talk about Trump's remarks. IMO, it will play into Trumps's hands and the media and Trump will be talking about Panetta's remarks non-stop about this tomorrow.

Trump's supporters and most Republicans will not be detracted by Panetta or anyone else. For them, even those who don't really like Trump, the greater evil by far is Clinton. It is the polar opposite of what some Democrats who don't care for Hillary feel - Trump is the greater evil.
