I think its pretty obvious that they hired a PR firm knowing the story was about to break. Their statements are very carefully crafted and were released almost instantly after the story broke.

I don't understand why Honey Boo Boo was canned because Mama June was allegedly dating a Child Molester, yet this show is still going to be on TLC where someone actually molested people, admitted to it yet was never penalized for it.

At least Mama June didn't rape anyone, I have to concede on that front.

I think TLC and the Duggars knew that this was going to break earlier this week. I work in Silver Spring and the Discovery Headquarters is near my office... I pass it on my lunch time walk. On Tuesday, there were about 10 - 15 black vehicles - town cars and SUVs -- in the drive way surrounded by security. I thought to myself, huh - the Duggars must be in town. Because, seriously, why would there be that many cars there other than them?

If you inerviewed 20 boys that were in my sons class, most of them would have the same answers to questions like what's your favorite subject? What do you like to play?

Some of you are just hellbent on thinking the absolute worst possible case because you hate these people because why? Because they are Christians? Don't even try to say it's because of this scandal, you hated them before this all came out.

So are you saying that Josh didn't do these things? I actually never hated them but I am kind of gobsmacked about this situation.

It's true. Not a week goes by when they're not in some gossip mag showing off every single family event and milestone. They seek this publicity out and embrace their celebrity status and I find that distasteful considering their religious views. They are lacking humility.
