Shatoubrione (I assume it was meant to be Chateaubriand).

Oh wow, poor Latrine. That's when I really wish the government would regulate parents' name choices like they do in Europe. It's a matter of child protection.

Shegay. Pronounced "shuh-gay," and she would kick your ass if you pronounced it "shee-gay."

The KKK guy?

Forrest Gump was named for Nathan Bedford Forrest, but there are plenty of Forrests who weren't. I'd hardly say it's "usually" for NBF. I doubt that's who Forrest Sawyer's parents were thinking of.

FYI...it was probably "Tzippy" which is Hebrew, short for Tzipporah (means bird, also a biblical figure - Moses's wife).

I instantly thought the same thing.

I once interviewed a young woman named LaTina. Of course, my company's computer system spelled her name as Latina. Poor LaTina.

I taught a kid named Tequilla. It had a creative spelling which escapes me now.

Beyonce is a derivative of a French-Creole surname. Ashanti is the name of a West African tribe and a name that was quite popular in African American communities during the 80s and 90s. Not saying that's where those parents got those names, just offering cultural context.

Dang, that's all I can think of now. I wish I had more. A lot if the names were tough to pronounce but were international, so were in a different category.

Also, River, Running Bird, Holden. Three brothers. I like Holden. Not sure what we were thinking with the others.

Wait- I knew a family with those names too!
