All NOVA parents are annoying. I've never seen a more prestige chasing group of affluent people outside of NYC. The Potomac parents are insufferable because their kids got into Potomac and the other Nova parents are insufferable because their kids didn't.

Nobody outside of McLean cares about Potomac. But the stay at home trophy wives of McLean care very much.

I personally know only one Potomac family but my God they are insufferable. The mom is a teacher/pseudo-adminstrator (I am sure she exaggerates her position) but the way she speaks is as though she is the most powerful, well-connected person in Virginia and her kids are the most advanced, brilliant geniuses who are also the post popular kids at school.

Sample size of one and no thank you.

BCC parent here. I stumbled on this thread and honestly can't figure out what's going on.

FWIW, I drive through McLean and am very impressed by the super fancy homes.
