Former family law attorney here, worked with clients from marriages that had domestic violence and also many, many marriages that ended amicably with very easy divorces - some of them I sent straight to a mediator process to save them my attorney’s fees, but many of the divorces I did were uncontested wherein I simply drew up the papers for couples who had already worked out all the details of custody and asset distribution fairly and equitably.

Some couples just aren’t compatible, particularly after kids arrive and all the masks come off. These folks obviously have complaints about their spouse, but not that rise to the level of calling them abusive. Emotionally disconnected sure, but not someone who is denigrating their partner, cheating and gaslighting, controlling/manipulating etc. - actual emotional abuse.

There are actually people out there who split up, remain friendly, and do very well coparenting while moving on to other partners. They just don’t make the news.

Yes this is being reported across several mainstream sights. He also seemed to move around quite a bit.
