If they focus on their careers, they are criticized for not spending enough time at home with their kids.
If they focus on raising their family, they automatically lose out on the best professional opportunities.
Men are not subject to the same criticism, and gaily go about their careers while their wives raise the kids and mommy-track or stay home.
I don't think any of us should criticize Nicole for wanting to be the most famous actress she can be. Yes there is a family cost. Men do that all the time.
I stay home to raise my kids, but I will never criticize a woman for prioritizing her career.

If you look at older pictures of her she often has a striking, aggressive stare....and she was often not smiling. I think there is an intensity there that she covers over and I actually wonder if this is probably more of who she is. I've also always wondered about her desire to play psychopathic characters, she's played a few. I may get laughed off the board, but I don't think she is quite right. And the announcement coming on a Monday versus a Friday as well as the statement that she did not want this and he left her suggests she may be feeling vindictive.

It’s so obvious. It’s weird how people are going to bat for Keith urban. It just is what it is.

At least Demi Moore stepped away from Hollywood and took a break to raise her kids for a while.
And her career took a major hit from that decision. Then she was a mess for a while. I would say women like Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts found more of a middle ground, without sacrificing much. Even Angelina Jolie took pretty long breaks between projects.
And?
Good mothers don’t prioritize sustaining A list celeb status over being present for their kids.
Jolie and Roberts aren’t good people imho. They’ve done some pretty crappy things. Bullock seems like a good human being; she hasn’t dumped her kids on hired help to chase her career.
Nicole seems like she has a lot of issues.
Why so much judgement on what is a 'good' mother?
+1. PP is projecting. Any of these hollywood women are doing a thousand times more than the fathers.

Sad a man can’t keep commitments.
McConaughey‘S wife made family on set demand before agreeing to marry him.
Being with someone doesn’t stop them from cheating. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
His wife is a do-nothing gold digging "model". Actors are largely bi/gay, so I doubt Matthew would be cheating with a woman.
Isn't she a handbag designer? Sure, Jan.
McConaughey’s wife comes from a humble background. He has said that she worked as a maid at one time to make ends meet. They’ve been married for ages now, so why the hate?
