As a parent, I just care that my daughter is developing and that she is well positioned to play in college at the highest level her abilities allow. And the bottomline is that all this shadiness by clubs and jockeying for players just hurts the girls. It hurts the confidence of the girls who may ride the pine more now. And it hurts the team chemistry on both clubs. Coaching U16 girls is more than running good drills. There are confidence issues and social issues.
It sounds like the girls at both clubs are now going to suffer in those areas because of bad decisions made by men at clubs that only care about profits and power.
All true. But really, why is anyone surprised that a business makes decisions based on money? Isn’t that how all businesses are run? I don’t get the outrage here. Are there people who think soccer clubs are not a business so they are surprised by this behavior?

If I had a nickel for every time CW told us one thing and then delivered another (3 years in a lies about who would be head coach and how involved the assistant coach would be) …. My understanding from what I have heard from Brave parents is that is typical in their system too. What these people don’t realize is that trust can make a family stay, but lie once and people try to find an honorable Coach/club.
Cw, bl, nm all live on everything they did when there were only 2 ECNL clubs in nova. They could say or do whatever they wanted. It didn’t matter if they lied to parents because they would win and nobody would care. It’s different now. They actually have to be accountable because of competition with comparable programs. Parents eat it up though.
+1. MYS Hat here. MYS realized all of this and that was one of the reasons they decided to leave it all behind and start new. Whether they actually succeed or not is up to them though.
They left for their boys program and killed any chance of ever being a top club with the girls again. Going to the 2nd tier league was a huge mistake.
