My baby-boomer neighborhood being so packed with kids that the ice cream trucks just cruised the streets (not just at neighborhood pools and rec centers as the now do).

Climbing to the top of the playground Giraffe at Montrose Park. Going to Day Camp there, playing carroms and eating snow-cones. Performing plays at the Rockville Civic Center.
Buying candy at the Murphy's and Kresge's at Congressional Plaza. My parents forbidding us to go in the bowling alley there because "men are SMOKING in there."

Ski trips to Vermont via bus and oh, the parties.
High waisted pants.

Jesus Freaks hanging out at fast food restaurants and making the pitch (and now I am one)
