I’m not the one who wrote the first quote but how is it racist to hate Israel? It’s a despicable nation that is taking people’s land and killing them for it in the most cruel ways every single day.

Have you been to Israel and Palestine? I have, and the idea that the Israelis are white oppressors and the Palestinians are oppressed people of color is inaccurate. It's trying to take the US racial perspective and overlay it onto a completely different region. When you walk down the street in Jerusalem, if not for the clothing and head wraps, it would be very difficult to separate Jews and Arabs into their constituents. This is because a large number of Israelis are Sephardic or Mizarahi Jews--they are from the Middle East. This is unlike American Jewry, whose demographics are predominantly Ashkenazi Jews from Eastern Europe. They're both Semitic peoples.

Not to say I agree with her at all but shes human and no doubt felt really outnumbered as the "ringleader" came on really strong. Should I call or leave it alone?

I believe we need to try to not let politics damage our personal relationships and mutually supportive group vibes. You may not be that close to her but she is part of a group that you value.
I say that as someone who completely horrified by the starvation and dehumanization of Gaza citizens. The approximate places to register disapproval are with your elected officials, peaceful protests and public forums dedicated to addressing this issue. Faith communities of all kinds are rightfully praying for the Palestinians (and Ukrainians/ other victims of violence and displacement all over the world).
I agree with many PPs that most of us distinguish between IDF and civilian Israelis. Civilian Jewish Americans are even further removed from responsibility for the horror show.
(I believe that) we need to not allow all extremism in the world fracture our personal social connections.

DP, but I do not agree with the bolded. This is about ethics and values, not politics. We are the company we keep, and I cannot sit idly with family and friends who are immoral and unethical.

I am against what Trump is doing, but that doesn’t make me anti-American. In fact, I love America, and have no problem with most Americans.
When I hear people talk about Israel, they seem to make my statements that Israel is terrible (like the poster above). I have heard very few people say they don’t like the current Israel administration, but that they have no problem with Israel and most Israelis in general.

Muslims don't believe that they ares special b.c they are Muslim, they believe that the Quran and Muhammad are truth and a gift but the Quran explicitly states that the Jews and Christians are wrong about salvation being promised to them and God hasn't made a promise of salvation to any group (including Muslims) , the verse continues to say He judges people solely on what they do and it doesn't matter what group they belong to and that the question of who is close to Allah lies only and solely in His hands and noon can dictate or enforce any rules on Him and he has made no promise but will judge each indiviual based on what they send before them (what they do as a record of their life)
