SR is not the best private BY FAR
We’re a new family for class of 29’ and I’m not worried about this at all. No school is perfect. We’ve never attended a school we’re ALL the kids are angels. But we’ve also never shyed away from speaking up to our class reps etc. when things are off.
Something tells me no one has had the cojones to actually tell anyone what’s going on and that’s on you. I won’t stand for my girl being bullied by another group of girls much less that girls mom. You guys are nuts to let this happen as if you have zero control over the school environment. And you wonder why your kids are so afraid of having tough conversations and working out problems with communication.
How many parents have actually talked to said evil mom and called her out on her behavior. How many conversations have been had with the parents of the mean girls? Something tells me NONE. This isn’t rocket science.
NP here. Sadly you will soon find out. If you are a new family, how do you know how things are handled? We have approached admin about various issues, and their way of handling it is to hope it goes away on its own.

So why are you still at the school? You always have a choice. If you don’t like how the admin is handling certain things then leave. For everyone reading this thread, not all parents or SR parents are the same. Some SR parents are the problem. Having money and the privilege to attend private school doesn’t always mean you get your way. The world doesn’t work like that.
Wish it were that simple. When you try to give a place a chance and realize you only have one or two years left, you tend to decide to stick it out. There is some upside...namely good academics. Socially, however, it has its challenges, and admin seems to want to pretend it is just girls being girls.

As far as I know there hasn't been much AI use.
No my 2029 does not use AI. It seems they scared her enough to not use it, ha! If I bring it up, just to get ideas she immediately tells me no. It seems they also do a lot of their writing at school, to deter the use of AI.
This is a shame. Students should be encourage to use AI responsibly. It is a great research and brainstorming tool. We are a SR family and although our daughter is against using it, we have been encouraging her and showing her how to use it to get ideas and cull information from the internet. Yes, it seems the girls have been spooked about using it! And I heard that the would be valedictorian lost that spot due to getting caught using AI.

Ha! no one in admin wants to admit there’s a problem. And a couple of these are donor kids.

No they meant 2029. Later replies by the person confirm it.
DP. I am unaware of 2029 but I am certain the stories I am familiar with are in 2028.
NP. 2029 grade is not…uh, the best. Mental bullying and cattiness. And that grade has at least a couple of moms that are miserable
Maybe a group of new families will help change this dynamic.
My daughter has experienced some of this but the good thing is there are enough nice girls who will call out the mean girls and stand up for their friends when they are being targeted with the relational aggression. It only hurts the mean girls because other girls are aware and teachers become aware and in the end the mean girls are not thriving and not winning awards at the end of the year.
